Jets sign Carter.... Ricky Ray available?

NY jets just bumped one of their quarterbacks right of the depth chart by signing Quincy Carter today.

I watched Ray in a pre season game last week....didnt look like NFL material at this point. Im wondering if Dunigan shoudlnt give the guy a call.....IF he is released. (likely IMO woth Bollinger also there)

Thoughts?

Isn't he still Eskimos property? If he came back, wouldn't we have to ask Edmonchuck for him?

Ray is in his option year so he would return to the Esks unless the Esks traded him or outright released him. And I can't see either happening if he does return to the CFL.
