Mike Vick thinks he should be able to earn $10 million playing QB upon release from custody.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shu...urn=nfl,151410
Quote:
The embattled Atlanta Falcons quarterback is hoping to earn as much as $10 million a year or more, according to court filings in his bankruptcy case. Under the plan he submitted to the court, Vick would keep the first $750,000 of his annual income over the next five years. After that, a percentage would go to his creditors based on a sliding scale. [...]

Looks like the Culter era in Denver is all but over.

Im hoping they trade him for a proven NFL QB or sign Garcia because drafting a QB is not the answer IMO.

Sorry...but Cutler is now officially one of the biggest prima donnas the NFL has.
Seriously dude....your feelings were hurt so now you wont even talk to the man that made you wealthy beyond your dreams? Show some damn respect. What a d-bag.

Well, they have to draft a QB whether they sign one or not.
Worst 3 months of being a sports fan I've ever experienced. It trumps the 7 playoffless years for the Flames by a good margin.
The Broncos will lose for years to come now. Every person involved in this drama should be ashamed of themselves.

I'm guessing the trade goes down tomorrow BTW. Pretty sure they've already had one worked out for a few days and were just giving Cutler one more chance to grow up.
Whatever they get, in terms of on the field talent, will come nowhere close to what they give up.

I think it has to include the Browns somehow...likely Anderson is my guess.
And that includes drafting a guy this year as well.

Cutler is a huge baby with the way he acted. Heaven forbid you were in trade talks!!! I didn't know you we're untouchable and it's complete blasphemy to even consider the move.
But McDaniels is a major idiot for wanting to get rid of Cutler. What exactly was wrong with the Broncos offense? The only thing that needed work on you can say was the running backs. Everything else, especially the QB was perfectly fine. You don't put up the stats we had last season without an offense that can perform. Again I stress that if Broncos had ANY defense whatsoever, Broncos would have clinched the div easily and may have made a bit of noise in the playoffs. Shannahan would still be around and this drama wouldn't even occur.
What a joke from both parties.

That Moats video is crazy. The cop is a little clueless, I think it was a nurse who says right to him she's coded and they need them (the father-in-law) up there to sign something and he's just 'uhhh, well, ok. This'll just take a minute' and goes back to running the license. At that point common sense should kick in and you should think "shinguard, this is bad and I'm making it worse" then say "Go deal with what you gotta deal with. I didn't know the situation, to me you were running a light. Now go on."

But you get a major upgrade in off field "talent" and the Patriots have shown that talent is not everything when it comes to winning and the Cowboys have shown that on field talent can mean nothing if the lockerroom is a mess.
Now obviously I don't think much of Cutler so I don't think the on field effect will be that bad but even if you do the NFL is the one league where losing a "star" isn't that terrible of a deal.

All true, except when discussing the QB position. As I've said many times, 15-20 teams in this league are perpetually shuffling the deck trying to find a franchise QB. Denver just became one of those teams.

I don't think they can compete with some of the offers the Broncos will see from other teams. I think you're safe.

Agreed. I hear ya moon, but its a whole different can o' worms when talking about a QB. Especially a very young franchise QB. I seriously can't believe what a disaster this has turned out to be.
If Cutler ends up in Tampa Bay I'm going to do terrible things...

Attitude, bad advice...whatever the case may be, if the situation that happened didn't ever come up it may never have been an issue.
The Broncos offense was #2 in the league last year. I don't see how that puts them in the bottom 2/3 in the league in QB play.

For the record, I'm going to predict that it is Minnesota that ends up getting him. Cleveland would be 2nd, and no scenario there makes me the least bit excited.
They need to draft a second tier QB this year and look for the franchise QB next year (Bradford).

Over at the Jets forum I regularly visit fans are really split on this issue. However I'm all for Cutler, I've always been impressed with him. I'm not a fan of how he acted during this whole saga but if the Jets can start next season with Pro-Bowl QB I'll be thrilled, I don't have much faith in either Clemens or Ratliff.
Please make this happen Tannenbaum.
