Default Going To Chicago!!

Just taking a random trip, seeing if there's anything specific I should do/see?

Already got a Blackhawks and a White Sox game planned. Too bad the Cubbies don't start the season at home.

Just visiting one of my cousin's down there, and she's pretty much planning the rest of my day's, but thought I'd turn to the CP braintrust to see if there were any must see/must do/must eat things in Chicago?!

Slugger's in Wrigleyville is a great time. Pretty fun bar, but more importantly you can drink heavily and then hop in the batting cages upstairs.

I've had great pizza at a few places, Lou Malnati's is pretty good, but you may want to check with some locals for the best suggestions.

I have been to Chicago hundreds of times (as my wife is from there) and I can honestly say that it is one of the greatest cities in all of the US.

I would definitely take the Architecture tour that runs out of Navy Pier. I have yet to do it but from what i hear it is really cool.

Michigan Ave (Magnificent Mile) is definitely a cool walk with a lot of stores, pubs, bars, restaurants to see....

not that i can be of much help, but i was there for one Friday night (with a fellow CP'er actually).

we went to Hugo's Frog Bar and the drinks were like $20.00 each (after conversion), we also ate at Carson's Ribs, apparently its a famous rib house.

have fun!

Chicago is easily my favorite US city and I am lucky to be there often on business travel. If you are checking out some sporing events and do a few of Canada 02 suggestions you'll have a great time. The architeture of the skyscrapers is amazing.

Make sure you check out Giordano's or Gino's for some deep dish pizza as well. Italian Village in The Loop downtown (I believe on Adams St) is good italian food and used to be a favorite eatery for Al Capone back in the day.

A tour up the Sears Tower or John Hancock Tower is also a must. I prefer John Hancock becuase you they have a good restaurant to eat while you enjoy the view but both are good.

Does your cousin's dad have a Ferrari? If so, steal it, then pick up your girlfriend and best friend and light up the town! Fun activities include:

-going to a Cubs game (guess you're gonna settle for Sox)
-hit up an expensive restaurant downtown. If they won't let you in, tell them you're the Sausage King of Chicago.
-join in a random parade and sing a song up on a float
-go to a museum
-avoid getting caught by your parents or principal
-trash the Ferrari

Gino's Pizza was awesome. I love taking a walk down the Magnificent Mile.

I also couldn't get enough of some of the hole-in-the-wall Blues clubs along Clark Street. Architecture's cool. Easily my favourite American town. I've had a tonne of fun there.
