Globefish, simply because their "crazy buster" roll is the single greatest thing I've tasted in my life probably. Seriously, it'll change your life.
River Cafe is also certainly a winner. One of the most unique dining experiences in Canada.
I also have soft spot for Diner Deluxe on Edm Trail in Crescent Heights. Outstanding burgers.

Jacqueline Suzanne's Bistro on 9th Ave in Inglewood. Good food and good atmosphere to take the wife to.

I've heard a lot of people who say they like this restaurant, I guess maybe I've just had bad luck the times I've tried it, as I've gotten mostly inattentive service and stingy, bland portions.
Have you tried Los Mariachis at 7400 McLeod Trail South? Prolly the most authentic Mexican in the city.

la vienna on kensington, small, classy, italian, in house made pasta and excellent lobster bisque. Out of the main areas, but still hard to get in during dinner. Service is consistently the best I've seen in the city, without being pretentious or overbearing... (usually, sometime you get a new waiter and that throws things off).
My wife and I are both fans of this place for the service / food / ambience. Both of us have worked in restaurants extensively as well and it still stands out to us

dude your choice is Swiss Chalet.....a marginally better place than Mc Raunchies.......no offence but I don;t think you are commenting from a position of strength.
Why is it sooo dark in Smugglers...what are you hiding?

Nope, but will definitely try it now. I used to live in Oakridge, can't believe I never knew of this place.
For others looking for it, here is the location and a thread about the restaurant:
Mi Tierra Tu Taqueria
10015 Oakfield Drive SW.
open noon-5pm Sunday, noon-8pm Tuesday to Saturday

I believe it is best if you use a green font when saying something like this. Thanks.

We're also Misato fans, only problem is we always over-order when we go here as the rolls are huge.

Same deal here, waitress got my order wrong, then didn't bring me cutlery. Also got very thirsty and could not get her damn attention, too bad because I don't mind the place. Don't feel like ever going back there now. Next time I'll try Los Mariachis as recommended, have not been there before.
My absolute favorite is nothing special but I just can't get enough of Thai over the past few years. Ruan Thai on 11th Ave close to 14th St.
