Only thing is there is a RubeCube signed up in the league.....

It was there before the draft when we had 17 teams as my team (Captain Manning) is scheduled to face "RubeCube" in week 2.

LOL, my team is in shambles. Goes to show that I should have shown up for the draft.
Anyone else have a retired guy? Curt Shilling is on my team, but I'm in the process of trying to get rid of him.

My team (Captain Manning) is not to bad, I took a few risky players... Had no choice as its really tough getting that blasted #1 pick as my next pick was #36.
It really helps to sort your players list before getting rid of the injuried guys and retired guys...

I got decent pitching but my offence isn't that great. I read a bunch of articles on a new drafting technique, where you draft some of the strongest players in positions that have very few good players. So I went to second base and a catcher first. In the mean time, you really miss out on the big bombers. Not sure I would use this method again.

I like my pitching staff alot - my position players on the other hand are pretty sad. I don't know how it happened but I have a team of scrubs

I started with a similar plan and drafted Kinsler with the 11th pick overall. I abandoned it once I saw a number of owners were snapping up middle infielders and so I went to more of a "best player available" strategy. I really like my team as a unit. I'm not overly strong at any one position but as a group I'm as happy as I've been in a few years doing these drafts.

Big mistake on my part taking BJ Ryan. Guy can't get his fastball above 85 mph in spring training. Anybody who wants some starting pitching (I have Zambrano, Beckett, Reyes, Billingsley and Johnson) should talk to me. I'm looking for a good closer and some infield bats.
