Default Sharks Looking for one more BIG move!

With the team in a bit of a slump of late, having gone 5-4-1 in their last 10 and allowing the Wild to come from 8 points back to a tie for 1st in the conference, the Sharks are looking to make at least one more big splash in the trade pool before the deadline passes.

On the block are the following:

Alex Frolov (LW/RW) - 25yrs 79ov - 78SC 75PA 1y@$4.50
Having a solid year playing on the top line in LA, but still has potential to put up huge numbers if that young team can mature soon.

Shane Doan (RW/LW) - 30y 80ov - 75SC 76DF 1y@5.85
Captain Canada. Having a pretty average season by his standards but has really turned it on lately scoring 7 pts in the last 4 games. Stud all-round game.

Dwayne Roloson (G) - 38y 76ov - 1y@$6.00
Anyone in need of a starting goalie next year? He should be a 79ov after almost single-handedly getting the Oilers into the playoff race and putting up great numbers.

For either or both of the two forwards, I would look at a pure shakeup move or an upgrade at D for a downgrade at F in a two for two type deal. For Roloson, I'd look at moving him for a similarly rated goalie with no chance of being a starter next year + upgrade at another position.

I would be open to other suggestions as well but Crosby will not be moved unless it's for one of the other Big 3.

I'm assuming Malkin, Crosby & Ovechkin are in the club.

Ahh Yes, Malkin...forgot about him

Malkin-69 GP 15G 32A 48PTS -19

Crosby 79 GP 21G 49A 70PTS -1

Ovechkin 73GP 33G 29A 62PTS +5

Not a very "Big 3" if you ask me

There is going to be quite a few 74-78 goalies up for new UFA contracts this year. It'll be interesting to see how many of them get grid deals. Guys who aren't really number one type starters but needing to get paid pretty good money on one way contracts for three years. It'll be interesting to see how many of them do get the grid contracts.

I imagine those goalies will get the grid deal more often than not, and in some cases even if they don't deserve it. That's one position where it's just too risky to lose the 1 guy you have who can actually play on a regular basis, and possibly not be able to sign a replacement.
