Default Roast of Larry The Cable Guy

100% NSFW

Did anyone else catch the roast of Larry The Cable Guy on Comedy Central (US) or Comedy Network (Can)? LINK It does not say when it will be aired again.

Man that was funny!!!! Very vulgar and totally politically incorrect but if you like this type of comedy it is NOT TO BE MISSED.

The clips on youtube are bleeped but the Comedy Network left it uncensored. Lisa Lampanelli, Gary Busey, Greg Giraldo, Jeff Foxworthy & Bill Engvall, are all worth checking out at a minimum.

Start here on you tube and follow the "related videos" links for more. One more time, this is NSFW.

I've heard about it and I love roasts. the sagat one was gold. Lampanelli, while having the same shtick every time, is still hilarious.

Gary Busey was the best. It also looks like some of the clips are up on the comedy central site.

Why Larry the Cable Guy?

I can think of at least 50 comedians I'd like to see roasted prior to him.

That said, HD is right, it was goddamn hilarious, and probably the only time I've ever laughed with or at Larry.

Because right now, that guy is huge. He's one of the most popular comedians right now.

I personally don't find him that funny (I prefer Ron White and Bill Engvall from the Blue Collar guys) but a lot of people, for what ever reason, do.

And yes, it was funny. I love the Sapp comment "First time I've seen Keith and Larry without their hoods on."

Yeah, I don't get that either. He seems to be a one trick pony, whereas the other guys have depth. And even if I have heard a White/Foxworthey/Engvall story before, I will still listen again because the delivery makes it so much better.

lol i have to see this. To this day some of Lampanelli's jokes from the Pam Anderson roast remain my favorites. I'm laughing just thinking of some of them.

Did anyone think to invite David Cross?

The best part of a Larry the Cable Guy roast is that he doesn't talk. Best roast clip i have ever seen is when Gilbert Godfried (sp?) told his version of The Aristocrats at Hefs roast.

Was anyone here unfortunate enough to catch the Gene Simmons 'roast' last year?

It was a non-Comedy Central affair, and dear god was it awful.

Awful awful awful.

Someone needs to do a Jon Lovitz roast, but he is without cache.

The simmons roast was brutal. It makes it much worse that I hate simmons with every ounce of my being, but my love for roasts had me hoping he would get demolished. I think the comedians did 99% on themselves and other comedians and the other 1% on simmons. lameo.

I can't decide who is a bigger hack, Dane Cook or Larry the Cable Guy. They are the Nicklebacks of comedy.

Haha that one was a classic. Lampanelli's "It looks like the 3am shift at the Jacksonville, Florida waffle-house" is without a doubt the best roast line I've ever heard at those things.

I love roasts of the raunchier comics, like Sagat, Flav, etc. But I've been uncomfortable with some of em. Like the Shatner roast, for example. They had all those old, iconic Star Trek members there, and the raunchy comedians were just leanin into them in an X-rated way, I found it kind of inappropriate. I think the older, more established stars should be roasted in a more classic, Don Rickles-sort of way, not a Jeffrey Ross "Hey old lady, go grab some KY and lets go around back and knock the dust of your *****" way.

Ya that was classic! Her whole thing there blew me away, she was arguably the funniest one, if even mostly for pure shock value. Maybe it's just me I guess. Something about senior citizens gettin roasted on like that(and roasting back) makes me squeamish.

On a side note Lisa Lampanelli needs to be an automatic at those things. I'm usually not big on female comedians, but she's pure gold.

Dane Cook is just a ######. Larry is a total hack and, in my books, worse. In any event, both are seriously unfunny.

Best 'roast' of Larry the Cable Guy? This open letter to Larry himself from actually funny comedian David Cross:

The Blue Collar comedy guys get much better ratings than anything else on Comedy Central. Which is unfortunate, because I only enjoy White's comedy.

The most offensive part of the roast just may have been the fact that he makes $250k a night. $30 million last year...

Warren Sapp/James Earl Jones/Aretha Franklin took it pretty well. I don't know if he was quite ready for the "anything goes" premise.

Lampanelli was cannon fodder, and it was great.

I think the guy is hilarious...of course 10 years ago i would not have, but being subjected to Southern culture and the twangs/accents of various places....he cracks me up now.

really? Even with a southern background all he tells are dick and fart jokes. Watch southpark, family guy or the simpsons if you want that sort of thing. I got free tickets when he was in town a while back and it was terrible. I felt sorry for the people who paid money to be there. I would have been pissed.
