Well if the forecast holds, today will be the last day to skate as the high will be -8 C

Tomorrow and the days after all have low single digits in the positives as well, so it'll be interesting on the outdoor rinks.

The worst is the thaw with ice that might be there or might not be.

Ya I live up here and was watching that this morning, I was like what the hell are they talking about?? That was totally the windchill, morons. That channel doesnt know the West anyways. They spend a surprising amount of time on the Maritimes, and obviously alot on Ontario. Then they kinda gloss over the prairies quickly before going to BC. It's hilarious.

I gotta say, I miss rain. Looking forward to epic amounts of showers this spring.

If they don't come and we get our usual 3 rain fury storms of doom over spring/summer I will be one srsly cheesed llama.

You were just a concerned citizen who wanted to warm up her legs

I'm tired of shoveling my sidewalk. This last snowfall I said "P1ss on it... no more! Let the city fine me".

I'm tired of running out to my car in the morning, 20 minutes before I normally leave for work, just to start up my car so I don't sit there freezing my @ss off in my car, when its time to leave the house, and so I can actually see out my windshield without it being all frosted over!

I'm tired of opening the door of my car and having a lump of snow land on my car seat!

I'm tired of driving the city streets through the slush and snow and having to squirt windshield washer fluid on my windshield every 15 seconds.

I'm tired of running out of said winshield washer fluid 2 miles away from where I'm going and trying to see out my dirty grimy windshield because I've got none left in the car (forgot to replace the bottle the last time I emptied it)!

I'm tired of seeing white. I want green! I want to golf!

On the plus side my outdoor plants have been protected for months now in a thick blanket of snow.

Bumping just to say that I saw my first Robin and Red-winged blackbird of the year here in Ottawa on Paddy's day.

Robins arrived in Calgary yet?
