Has anyone else played Monte Cristo games?
This thing won't even get close to touching sim city.

looks like this game is setup to be a epic failure. Way to large in scope IMO to be successful. My prediction?? it's going to be delayed. The financers will get inpatient and push for it to be released. Major features will be cut as deadlines fly by, certain parts of the game won't be polished properly. It will be released with little fanfair because of all the delays and get hammered on in the reviews because it was only half finished at release.
Not to say it doesn't look cool. But I've seen this kind of over-reaching optimism before first hand, rarely does a good game result

I've always wanted to use Sim City as a nuke simulator. You know, build this massive million person city, then drop nukes of various sizes on it to see what the destruction and death toll would be like.

Well, you can build a city, build a few nuclear plants, and then drop godzilla on them, causing them to explode and nuclear-ize the crap out of everything around em.
Always good fun.

I have been watching the development for a while, it looks interesting, but a but gimmiky looking but I am willing to give this a shot since EA will never do another SimCity.

Thats cool, but I've always thought that the nuclear explosions were kinda puny in that game.
I'd love to build a massive city and drop a Tsar 50 megatonne bomb on the down town core just to see what the damage would look like.

I am a big fan of the original simcity games. I purchased simcity societies and tried to get into it but it was quite lame. Instead of seeing the buildings come up out of the ground you can just buy them and plop them in there. I guess I liked anticipating the arrival of a huge skyscraper and feeling rewarded that I did it correct, with societies all I needed was money and I could just buy it. I also think that they spent way too much time on the social aspect of the game. This game looks promissing though.

This game looks amazing, but I doubt my current 1 year old PC is up to snuff. They install file for that will probably be a terabyte lol.

If I remember correctly, Simcity 4 was that big already. But your right, it would be huge!

I wish they would just make a new Sim City, or a Roller Coaster Tycoon.

The best part of SimCity was always to destroy the city after you plateaued.
