I really wish some people would leave after a loss. This place gets unbearable after a bad game and all I want to do is fight with the people jumping off the bandwagon

That's why I appreciate this thread ... it provides a safe haven from the lunacy where we can come and whine about this stuff.

On a slightly different note, I was reading the Herald's Letter's page today and it amazed me yet again how stupidity is no obstacle to literacy.

Well I guess with people reading the FOI, they come here.

But wait until there's NO hockey news.....oh, it's a slow slow time. That's where the Hottie Draft came in clutch last year!

It was amazing to see the influx of idiots who came around:

1) When the Pens won the Crosby lottery
2) When the Pens made the playoffs
3) When the Pens went to the SCF

Horrifying. A bunch of Steelers fans jumping on the bandwagon and thinking they know what they're talking about.

At least you didn't have to blow $200 for a pair of floor seats to Dane Cook. Why can't girlfriends like things that don't suck?

As hated as Dane Cook is, some of his stuff is pretty damn funny. I'm sure you'll find yourself laughing if you leave your preconceived notions at the door.

I find that funny that a moral, virtuous, self-righteous person as your self would find, yelling about the shocker, oral sex, as well as effing BnE's funny.

My dad told me the same thing before my wedding too. Cryptic comment if you ask me.

Lately I've been getting extremely basic hair cuts. I cut it myself with a 1" guide and then go into your generic "haircuts" place and have them trim the sides, back, neck etc.
Extremely simple right? I should be in & out within 2 minutes, anyone can do it, I just can't quite do it on myself.
Sometimes I get a good person who is quick and then charges me a cheap "neck trim" fee which I proceed to tip well on. Sometimes they take a little longer and will charge me a "children's cut". I can always tell when they plan on charging me the full price. Something that should take 2 minutes, they bust out all the tools/techniques and the whole process lasts 15+ minutes.
I seriously question if they do such a "good job" just so they can charge me "extra" rate or if they are genuinely trying to do the best job that they can.

Something I've been pondering lately... We're reading a play titled "Poor Super Man" in one of my English classes. It is a play that really is not about Superman, but was written by an Edmontonian and is based in Calgary.
I've never been a comic fan, but it got me thinking about them.
What I've been thinking about is that it would truly suck to be Spider-Man and live someone like rural Alberta/Sask. He is lucky that he lives in NYC where there are plenty of tall buildings. I can only think about how many times it could be fun to web from the barn to the shed & back.

I guess it would be less impressive if Superman lived in Saskatchewan and bragged that he could leap a dilapidated barn in a single bound...

Can you imagine Batman in New York?

The batmobile stuck in rush hour traffic... now that would be something.

I was standing on the train reading the Globe & Mail on my iPhone, trying to kill time on the commute home. As soon as we pull out of the SAIT station, the guy sitting in the seat in front of where I'm standing starts rubbing his thumb and index finger at me. I take out my headphones and say "Sorry?" and he says "Get that f***ing device out of my face!".

APPARENTLY my iPhone was beside his head, and he didn't like that.

As you can see I'm still a little bit pissed at how rude some people can be on the train. Don't rub your thumb and finger together indicating that I'm loaded, you pompus ass.
