Just curious if anyone has enjoyed either Burn Notice or Psych over the last couple of years. They aren't premiering soon, but I'd like to gauge their popularity...if you guys even get them up there.

I forgot to mention that the season premiere of Kenny v. Spenny was last night. I forgot to watch it, but it re-airs this Friday night. First episode: who can keep a poop in their pants the longest?

sorry, don't watch 'Life' but felt that image should be re-quoted.

I may check out that 'Kings' tonight... actually, I won't. I think I'll hold off. It looks interesting, but I am so tired of network shows starting and then being cancelled two months later with nary a whisper of a conclusion. It's maddening! I think 'Kings' - which looks promising - might get canned. If it doesn't I'll watch it.

If people don't watch it, it will definitely get canned
I watched it last night. I was skeptical at first, but I was actually quite impressed by the end. I was happy to see network tv do something different than the standard lawyer/doctor/police drama or another reality show. Refreshing for a change. And I think there seemd to be lots to build on to keep it interesting.

Of course when I like a show it almost always gets canned. So I'm betting on that, which is too bad.

I take your point, but I don't participate in the ratings system, so I'm not sure that my viewership would make a positive difference.

But even so, my point was that network television has squandered the goodwill of viewers such as myself. Rather than committing to a show to see it through, NBC and particularly ABC follow the money... when ratings go down, they let the show go. THat bugs me. At least HBO, Showtime, etc, will commit to a series of episodes first before production begins. If the show does get cancelled prematurely there is still some narrative closure if not finality. However, thinking about a show like 'The Wire' I'm pretty sure HBO took the financial hit on that to see it through to a complete closure. If The Wire had been on NBC it would have been cancelled halfway through the 1st season. And that kind of reasoning is why I won't commit to a network show about which I'm uncertain without a demonstration of good faith first.
