Anyone get this? Last year this was a fantastic game, and it has improved. It was neck and neck with NHL 09 for sports game of the year.

If you have a PS3, get this game. Phenominal!

I agree, best baseball game ever. I played it alot during the summer and will continue once hockey season is done.

I didn't think this would warrant a new thread but has anyone tried 2k9 for the xbox? since thats all we get for baseball and after buying the last two garbage games I don't want to do it again without knowing. I wish EA could make baseball games again.

All I've seen is the IGN score and it wasn't pretty (6.8). I fares a little better on Metacritic after 10 scores ... well ... technically it fares worse, but 1up drags the overall rating down with a 3.3/10.

What the hell happened to 2k sports? I remember when they used to put out decent titles.

Does the show have custom soundtracks?

The good thing about The Show is you can play your music on the ps3, WHY CAN'T I DO THIS FOR OTHER GAMES SONY.

Yeah, too bad because I wanted to get it as well. Read a few reviews and they all say there's still bugs in the game.

I don't want to derail this thread, but the fact that The Show is one of the only ps3 games that allows this might actually factor into what system I buy next generation. I love sony, but the fact that so few games can do this makes my blood boil. Yes, this is the pathetic crap that keeps me up at night.

Sucks that 360 doesn't have it. I don't follow baseball at all, but I've always loved a good baseball game.

Are there any good ones for the 360? The one and only game I play is NHL 09.

I bought MLB 2K9 today. Its actually exceeded my expectations (they were pretty low to start with since I am not a 2K fan but this is only baseball game available for 360). The graphics are pretty decent and the same goes for the gameplay.

The '08 version of this game drove me crazy because I had such trouble hitting to begin with. But once you get the hang of it, it really is an awesome series. Will be picking up '09 for sure, maybe once the season starts and/or I lose interest in NHL.
