Totally fake.

Anyway, many moons ago I stumbled across a brand of vodka from Japan (I think) called "Come Back Salmon". Is that video Japanese? Looks like a Datsun/Nissan 300 in there, and maybe even a BMW.

You need to watch more movies because that one was very cheesy.

the best police chase ever filmed was "Vanishing Point" the original with Barry Newman, best police chase movie ever in my opinion.

Best car chase movie however not involving police is "Duel" directed by believe it or not Stephen Spielberg and starring Dennis Weaver being chased in an old Plymouth Valiant by this scary old semi. If you can get your hands on a copy of it, it will knock your socks off, even though it was originally a made for TV movie and his student project. It is not easy to find a copy of. You can see a ton of his cool camera work being born in that film.

wiki for duel: pretty cool stuff http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duel_(film))

Probably, however, there were a lot of YouTube commenters arguing that that big semi crash on Yellowhead Trail was fake... we couldn't convince them that it actually happened...

That was my point. It's absolutely ridiculous. Where can I find napalm grenades like that guy was using? The day is saved by a 70s Japanese cop with shades who aims his shotgun by holding the buttstock in his face...and he drives a Fairlady Z! (Nissan Z). When that driver was shot I was like: "Oh that's it! That Salmon delivery truck is totally going to explode in a stupid way!"

Look for the police chase with some white Suburban where the guy hits a guard rail and goes flying out the front window

Man, that was something. It was on all the police chase TV shows for a while but they never showed the full version (for obvious reason) and then I accidentally stumbled upon it last year or so.

He got more air than Jordan.

One thing surprisingly absent was the lack of a sliding horse...

That scene was exactly what I was thinking of. I expect a sliding horse out of bollywood but I somehow had a higher regard for Japanese TV and never expected a flying explosive salmon delivery truck. I'm surprised how many people thought I seriously meant that this was actually a "good" scene and not just something over the top hilarious.

What I loved the most was the continuity. They're driving through that land by the bridge, about 200 explosions go off and they keep driving. Then, 30 seconds later, they somehow renter the exact same field, with the exact same explosions going off, but this time with the truck.

suddenly, the big truck goes up in the air, and it cuts over to it suddenly right side up... hahah

I got a good chuckle out of it.

I heard that the guy with the shades is a Japanese meme on the order of their Chuck Norris.

Wow, the Japanese guy who was hosting that video must have been surprised at all the hits on the video or something. I'll have to find another and reupload it.
