Default Greentree Named Player of the Week

http://www.theahl.com/headlines/inde...rticle_id=9670

Considering that he cost the Flames all of Tim Ramholt Greentree has been a pleasant surprise this year.

Although he's 25 he's only in his 2nd year in pro hockey I think he could be a servicable player in the NHL in a couple of years. He does have to improve his skating and play away from the puck but he's got the size and offensive ability to be a nice third liner in the Moss mold.

good for Kyle. he seems to be chugging along without lundmark around.

i agree with tilley, he is older, but i think he has a good shot at staying in the nhl for a few years. hopefully he can have a good offseason and fit into the calgary scheme next year.

I think he's playing better without Lundmark than he did when Jamie was here.

Not sure what it is....maybe he's stepped up into more of a leadership role, or maybe the guys he's playing with now are more his "style".

Hope he keeps it up!!

Looks like his stint in Calgary helped him, even though the club decided to send him back down in favour of other QCers.

I agree. He got a taste and an insite of what he will need to do to stick in Calgary. It would not surprise me one bit if he gets called up again before the end of the week for another 2 game stint or so.

If we do re-sign him in the offseason, part of the deal has to be for him to spend most of the summer improving his skating.

I'd like to see him start throwing that big body around and maybe get in a few fights. If he's going to be a power forward, he's going to have to get the respect that earns him some space.
