wranglers GDT: Milwuakee Admirals @ QC Flames - 3/8/09

Game day stat tidbits: The Flames have won 2 in a row after a 5 game winless streak. Had a good crowd of 5100 people last night that gave a much better atmosphere to the game. The Flames continue with their hodge podge roster. JD Watt has assists in the last 2 games bringing his season total to 2 points. Kris Chucko has a nice scrap last night to go with his goal. Kyle Greentree broke the single season goal record last night with his OT winner.

qc wins again. it was something like the 16th round of the shootout!

team blew a 3-1 lead but at least got the 2 points. spent the first half of the first period in our own zone, and also the whole 3rd period. team looked really tired. (3 games in 3 nights will do that to ya)

But they also spent the entire OT period in milwakees zone, Im suprised they didnt win it in OT.

Sounded like a great game, the shootout was even exciting to listen to on the radio.

Their tiredness stood out even more, because Milwaukee was the only AHL team that didn't play last night. They watched last night's game from the stands. I was really glad the Flames were able to gut this one out! They deserved it!

I dont mind giving milwaukee a point tonight. One because we won and two no one is going to catch milwaukee in the standings.

Too bad the team is moving, having Backlund and Aulie next year would probably really boost the team next year. Im really hoping Sutter re-signs Lundmark and Greentree this summer.

I honestly belive that the owners will give it one more shot. I also dont blame sutter for trying to keep another door open if the owners do say enough.

But I also think next year will be a good year too bad I wont be around.

Besides I'm a Flames fan both NHL and AHL and I have spent too much money with this team to just let them go.

I will be the only guy in redneck country (alabama) that will be screaming at the fiance because she walked infront of my tv because the hocky game is on instead of screaming at her because she didn't bring me my beer. lol

You wouldn't have known that watching the guys on QC ice tonight. Every single player (even Bubba!!) stepped up tonight. The ice was really funky, but once they figured that out, they looked like they had been playing together for years.

The new kids on the block performed like superstars!!! Exhausted superstars, but superstars!!!!
