Didn't he finish 2nd in the NFL in drops last year? I hear ya, but this isn't exactly like the Cards losin Fitzgerald or somethin.

At least Romo doesn't have to drop back and have in his mind "I have to look at T.O. extra hard here" anymore, no QB can play like that. I was just reading an SI article this morning by Peter King, where he wrote "I know a couple of times in the last three years Romo had to bend over backward, and do things he really didn't care to do, just to stroke Owens' ego and make sure T.O. didn't think he was favouring other players over him." That's just brutal. For all his talents, T.O. is a team-killer IMO.

So, what is the problem with more threads? Does this site have a policy of wanting to reduce the number of non hockey postings?

Just about every thread in this section has somebody pointing it to go to the the NFL thread or the Baseball thread. So ALL topics about NFL should go into one thread? Absurd. It makes the Other Sports section unusable.

Anyway, if the goal is to reduce the chatting about Other Sports then mission accomplished.

I think it is more an issue so that there aren't 2 different discussions about the same topic at the same time. There are discussions about where TO will now end up happening in both threads.

I agree that there are big events that warrant their own thread, but I'm not sure this is one of them, largely because the discussion it promotes will naturally fit in with the "big" thread.

They still have their best offensive player. His name is Marion Barber. His platoon partner is pretty good too.

And don't write off roy Williams yet either..it's a difficult task to come to a new team midseason and learn an entirely new system. I think he will be just fine and a steal for those who draft him in fantasy ball.

Then you add Romo who no longer has the whole "where is TO" when he drops back to pass any longer.....and can just focus on the guy who is in single coverage, and he will have better numbers as well.

then add in Whiten at TE...and that team will be pretty well rounded on offense. The Cowboys also had issues on the O line last year which look to of been addressed through scheme changes (according to a couple talking heads) as well as some personnel change.

The 'Boys problems will still lie on defense...they get that straightened out and I see them competeing for a division title.

Good post. I will try to be optimistic, but with last season's huge disappointment, I'm a little jaded.

i understand the sentiment....and believe me, i absolutely despise the Cowboys, but there is a LOT there to make me believe they are pretty close to being real good.

the onus is on Wade now.

In my mind it is a big enough topic to have its own thread. TO is news in the NFL. If it has to be hidden in the big NFL thread that covers everything then it gets lost. I come into a section and scan the threads to see which topic I want to chat about. But since there is only one NFL thread I am not going to go through page after page about all comments.

In the hockey section it works because we are allowed to talk about things in different threads. What if we said there should only be one hockey thread? How would that work? I know that example is extreme but do you see the point.

Perhaps the CP people don't want people to talk about Other Sports. Which is fine because this is a hockey site afterall.

Anyway, I am fine with what ever. Just gets tiring to read a thread, any thread, and have some guy say that topic has been raised already. There needs to be a balance somewhere.

Apparently he's headed to Buffalo.

Terrell Owens has found a new team, signing Saturday with the Buffalo Bills.

A person familiar with the signing told The Associated Press that Owens is headed to the Bills two days after he was cut by the Dallas Cowboys. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal had not been officially announced.

He's gonna eat Edwards for breakfast...

Talk about a cancer in the dressing room (on the sidelines, on the field, in life in general)

The curse of TO goes to Buffalo (and presumably Toronto - so TO in TO?)

Owens: "I'm leaving America's team for North America's team".
Pretty funny.

Buffalo moves quick, got this done all today..who knows how it will work, but honestly, no risk for Buffalo, especially one year. They're a stagnant team that needs a kick in th ass from someone or something...this will get added publicity, pressure..worst case scenario is that they miss the playoffs again, best case is that Owens helps them make it. The fluke start they had last year against poor teams came crashing down real hard as tme wore on, so I don't think the dressing room/leadership is going to be as affected as going to a contender.

Well, T.O. is running out of chances. He's getting old too, so this might be his swan song.

I think this is a great signing for the Bills. 1 year is very low risk.

Even if he becomes a cancer then you cut him whenever or let him walk next season. No matter what he is going to add 1,100+ yards to their offense and could work out if he plays for his next contract.

Yup great signing by the Bills.

TO looks amazing the first year and thats all Bills signed him for. WIll help them get over the hump and get back in the playoffs. Evan, TO, Lynch, Bills will put up big numbers next year. AFC East will be tough.

I doubt it will be all good like you say

Lynch may get suspended at the beginning of the year for his offseason problems. I believe this is yet to be determined.

Trent Edwards is way over-rated and TO will just eat him alive. I don't think evans will like not being the #1 receiver. This is bad news for Buffalo in my mind and I love it being a dolphins fan.

I hate the damn jills

You seem to forget that the AFC East has one of the toughest schedules next year don't be surprised if only one AFC East team gets in and that team will most likely be the Pats again.
