Default Cleaning out Outlook deleted mail box

Is there a way I can delete all of my emails in my Outlook deleted mail box all at once without highlighting everything? Or is there a way for me to delete all my emails in that box at the same time so they can be manually deleted without doing it one screen at a time?

Right click on the deleted folder - there will be an option to empty the folder.

You can set your Outlook preferences to empty your Deleted Items folder whenever you close Outlook. If you're on an exchange server, you need to take a second step to actually delete the messages -- got Recover Deleted Items, select all, and delete them from that screen. Then they are *DELETED* deleted.

Sweet. Worked like a charm. I should have known: When in doubt, right click. Thanks.

Then call up your company's helpdesk and ask them how you can get those items back. Helpdesk people love it when people make requests like that.

Not to mention a good test to see if deleted deleted really means deleted deleted.
