In short, Yes. But it has more to do with being "boring" than nice. Girls want a guy with confidence, but that doesn't mean you can't be nice.

Losers finish last. Guys that are too afraid to talk to a girl finish last. Guys that try to manipulate a girl into liking them by showing off how nice they are finish last.
Guys who act normal around girls, whether they're attracted to the girl or not, get girls.

Speaking ONLY for myself, and not for all women, I've had the "vanilla" relationship, no fights, everything just a bit 'meh'. I'd much prefer a roller coaster, high highs and low lows. As long as the lows aren't violence/cheating/lies then I'd much prefer a heated debate and fight than just be la-de-da all the time, it gets super boring.

I don't think nice guys finish last, but they sometimes limit their ability to finish first.

Depends on the woman. I know of one case where this worked. Fortunately she saw what a manipulative loser he really is and dumped him. Too bad it took her three months to see it though.

Nice guys do finish last. Fear not you nice guys out there, you can off-set your niceness with money to finish first.

Just beware that it is difficult to amass the wealth to counter your niceness because nice guys are more susceptible to getting ripped off as well.

So in the end, nice guys usually finish last.

Same here. I can think of one guy in particular that I dated who would agree with me on EVERYTHING I said. It made me insane. I'd start saying completely stupid things just so that he would disagree with me, and state his own opinion... but he still wouldn't! I definitely don't want (or need!) a guy who always agrees with me, or tells me I am right all the time. I'd much rather a guy who's got his own opinions, and willing to challenge me when he disagrees.

Nice guys don't finish last we just use it as an excuse when we do, women usually wont actually tell us what they want either we have to figure it out and if we are to nice about it the woman realizes this guy just might not be my type.

Could probably go back and forth for hours but its not the niceness that drives most women away its the not knowing what you want and assertively going for it and sometimes even when you do things just will never click despite all the effort in the world. Life is to short so people need to just go for what they want and enjoy it, so long as your honest you don't have to be nice about everything.

Again, "nice guy" != "pushover".

When I'm in a relationship, we take turns picking which movie we want to go see. I'll pick up the tab at the restaurant. I'll try to enjoy her hobbies as much as she tries to enjoy mine. I'll ask how her day was and actually pay attention. I try to integrate with her friends rather than continually dragging her to be with mine. That sort of stuff. And of course I'm single.

But I can tell you that I know of at least 3 ex's, all of whom dumped me, that are in abusive relationships. Two of them physically. It really does take a groin kick to the esteem when you get dumped for a guy that beats women up.

Maybe so. That being said i'm at a point in my life where it's not that important anymore. I've come to enjoy my independence and personal freedom.

I married the "nice-guy-nerdlinger-that-sits-on-CP-all-day".... It's worked for me!

When I want a "bad-boy" I watch "To serve and protect" and see how many of my ex-boyfriends I can recognize.

I think that nice guys do eventually win out in the end.

I feel like I'm finishing last these days. I think it's more that honest guys finish last, not nice guys.

Independece and freedom is a good thing in my books. Marriage and all that stuff doesn't have to happen for me to be happy in this life.

It has been proven.
That's because most of em let it make them finish last. I'm only about 5'7"-5'8" and I've picked up just as much(in some cases more-so, depending on the buddy) than my friends hoverin around and over the 6'0" mark. I think what happens is most short guys allow it to get in their heads and it hurts their confidence. Ok ya if some chick's like 5'10" or somethin, then ya I figure its a lost cause. But really, how many girls are over 5'5"-5'6", like 10%? Who cares? Just be confident about yourself, that's the key to the whole thing.
