I know you guys all think your being funny, but your being a bunch of idiots. The OP posted a legitimate concern and warning for other people who read hear. I typically love CP humor but I don't think this thread is the time or place for it.

End Rant.

A serious response was in order until the "this proves that you don't trust men" comment. Then I realized, 'why offer advice or sympathy after that comment'.

I would guess that maybe you are taking it out of context and maybe a few commas would have helped her original post.

Please tell the women you love to be careful and not trust any men, including delivery or repair men, alone with them. I had no idea how easily my safety could be compromised until this weekend.

Anyways, I am not trying to pick fights. I just thought a lot of posts were written in poor judgement and it pissed me off. I can see your side also but care less about a possible sexist fear mongering comments than I do about the well being of the OP who will likely not post her concerns here in the future for fear of being mocked.

I don't see the OP being mocked, we're just all making light of the situation or continuing old running jokes.

See also: every thread ever.

While I sympathize with the OP and her friends, and I'm sure they were shaken up by this, no one got hurt. It serves as a good warning, especially to single women, about opening your door to a stranger.

That said, I found this thread to be hilarious. Even the title of the thread itself is quite hilarious.

If you don't like message board humour, a message board might not be the place for you to do your surfing.

The owner was rude and condesending to me and told me to stop waisting his time and then hung up on me! WTF? I was extremely polite and I cant understand what solicited this reaction

How could it possibly go lower than it was? Pizza73 has always been bottom of the canyon low.

Looks like duffman has come to the rescue and found the continuity error in the stories, good work gumshoe

If this story was in your inbox you would have erased it and wrote it off as a bad chain letter, all that is missing is: Send the link to this post to 15 of your friends in the next 10 minutes or you will have a similar fate!

When it comes to the pizza guy, I bet he likes to think that he delivers more then just pizza.

I have to ask for clarification

I know you ordered from Pizza 73

but what kind of pizza?

Was it a Big Sausage Pizza?

Well, I thought it sounded kinda creepy and I'd be freaked out. Although the story does also sound a bit like a "watch out for this!" email forward.

If it really did happen I hope OP called the police AND pizza 73.

Whatever the case, I guess the advice boils down to: be careful about strangers. Kind of the same as looking both ways when you cross the street - learned the lessons a long time ago but a reminder doesn't hurt every once in awhile.
