He and Carpentier were healthy scratches, according to the QC Times article Hoody posted.
With Armstrong in the lineup, there's a surplus of centers.

This is McGills system they can move them to the wing. Didnt have a problem moving Prust to centre last year.

I think that is the reasoning too we have a surplus of forward here right now.

nice catch
just a guess, I suspect the Bruins were given permission by the Flames. If things work out, then a trade can be arranged later

He doesn't know if he wants to play hockey and the club that's drafted him and given him chance after chance...he's not going to play for and he's going to Boston's farm team? What's going on? His brother going to bat for his little bro? Dan Ryder for Ference/Kobasew. :P

I hope it works out for him in Providence. Maybe then we can trade him for something of value.

		| Ryder with Providence
The Calgary Flames have terminated the contract of troubled center Dan Ryder, who is on a Professional Tryout with Providence Bruins.

Ryder had three goals and six assists in 19 early games with the Flames but was sent to Las Vegas of the ECHL in November. In December, he was suspended by the organization for disciplinary reasons.

He had a goal and four assists in four Q-C Flames games last year before suddenly leaving the team for personal reasons.

His brother, Michael, is a member of the Montreal Canadians. Dan Ryder was a third-round Flames draft pick in 2005.

Wow......says a lot about his character (or lack of it) if he can find it in himself to make it work in providence but not in QC. I never thought of him as a prima donna, mostly because he hasn't accomplished shinolah in his career and don't think he ever will.

So in the end, we get nothing for him? Darryl gave him chance after chance. Now we get no compensation?
