So, it is well documented (at least in my mind) that I am not a big Tiger fan, but Tiger's return is the big golf story this week, as he returns to play in the World Golf Championship - Accenture Match Play.
Tiger plays Brendan Jones in the first round (gotta feel sorry for that guy - I am sure that everyone in the golf world will be watching that match).
Although I wouldn't be hurt to see Tiger flame out in the first round, it makes for a good sports story if he comes back from injury and does well. I would love to see him play Ernie, Phil and Sergio along the way (in fact, wouldn't a Tiger-Sergio final be outstanding).
5 feet for birdie on the first hole. Looks like he's fine. Looking forward to him picking up right where he left off. You don't even need to be a golf fan to appreciate what he does.
Until be bogeyed the 3rd but still halved the hole!
Just smoked a good drive! I have a huge man crush on Tiger, he made a few comments to our group at the masters last year during the final round, it was pretty funny.
He just blew one way right on the 5th...but no biggie.
And for those wondering...Weir is down one thru 9. Ames 2 up thru 12.
OT...but Tranny, your signature .gif makes me laugh. I've always got music going so whenever I read one of your posts I assume that cat is really digging it!
Oh...and to make this post topical....love Tiger and damn glad he's back.

Sergio just proved why he'll never amount to anything.
Loses first 3 hole of the day, fights all the way back to go 2UP with 3 to play and proceeds to lose the last 3 holes of the day to some guy nobody's ever heard of.

I'm putting it down in writing right now. Grand Slam this year to tie Jack.
You're crazy
Put your money where your mouth is, bookies are offering you 22/1 for Tiger to win all four.
He'll be lucky to win one this year. He's not quite back yet and there are many many great players on tour now. Tiger is amazing but he'll run into Federer-like troubles and Jack's record isn't a certainty.

Tiger's and Roger's situations are completely different. Roger is playing in the twilight of his career and is still a dominant player, it just seems that Nadal is his kryptonite. Roger's been close in a few of the more recent majors he just can't get over that hump.
Tiger is in his prime, as there's no precedent for golfers losing their game in their 30's. There are no real "successors to the throne" so to speak, so I definitely see Tiger dominating for another few years.
Tiger potentially has 20+ more years of high-level competitive golf left in him, while Roger maybe has 2 years left to surpass Sampras.

Not sure Tiger is in his prime with his knee troubles. I do think he will break he record and get around 22 majors.. but it'll take him 10 years to maybe win 8 more....his knee will not hold out.
To suggest he wins all 4 this year is ludicrous (not that you suggested that)
