wranglers GDT: San Antonio Rampage @ QC Flames - 2/20/09

The San Antonio Rampage visit town for the 2nd weekend in a row. The Flames have regained sole possession of 7th place and put the Rampage back into 8th. After 5 wins in a row, the Flames are starting to have realistic hope of the playoffs.

Stat of the day #1 - this is the first time the flames have been above .500 at home after the first week of the season. (both years they won their first home game, but played awful at home after that)

Stat of the day #2 - this Saturday will be the only time this entire season that the baby Flames do not have a game on a Saturday night.

This game is bound to be 60 minutes of the Rampage running the Flames. Sure would be nice to have a tough guy that is able to fight on the team.

Vandermeer has a broken hand, and Watt can only do so much. I would classify him as a middleweight or a light heavy - the Rampage have two legit heavyweights in Lessard and Keefe(who I would bet is dressed tomorrow night).

I would have liked to see the Flames sign a AA heavy to a PTO for tomorrow's game.

i havent went to the main board yet to see if someone will indeed need to be called up to calgary, but maybe if thats in the works we could find someone for the scenario you mention.

has anyone been able to confirm that vandermeer injury? i recall hearing that several places, but thats not official info is it?

jee looks like the flames are leaving this year so why did we get rid of tremblay? Isnt sutter worried more about the prospects getting better? well not being hurt from some jack ass running you from behind into the boards and breaking their necks.

Tremblay would of stopped that.

Chicago and Rockford both lost, so QC gains two on both in the playoff race! 5 back of Chicago with 3 games in hand

That had to be the best hockey game I have ever had the privilage to see in person!

Watt absolutly destroyed a guy with a hit! actually hurt him pretty good.

that seemed to turn the game for the guys well when Brown and That french guy fought for it seemed like a hour.

the Fergeson gets cut open pretty good then beats on Greentree for his misfortunes.

One of the doctor guys said 15 stitches and possible internal stitches.

Chuckos shootout goal was pretty cool made Montoya look like a complete fool.

Canada o2 are you going to the Cedar Rapid vs Waterloo game tomarrow?

I will probably go to watch another great rivalry game and get to see Larson play. then sunday its off to peoria!

I knew I didn't want to go ice fishing last weekend! Sounds like I missed one helluva game.
