Not sure if i should start a new thread or not, but Backlund and Grantham will be on sportsent tonight. The Rockets play Chilliwack at 5.

Interesting to note that Backlund has scored 10 points (3g 7a) in his past 6 games with a plus 5 rating during that span. Looks like he is really starting to feel comfortable.

I couldn't watch the game. I am curious about Grantham. Obviously drafted as a tough guy and by some accounts is one of, if not the, best fighters in the WHL. Anyone have a take on his potential, and if he can actually play a little bit?

Is there a chance that he could play in the NHL as a 4 minute a game guy.....knuckle dragger extraordinaire that is a liability to his team when on the ice a la Cote or Colton Orr?

Or possibly a 10 minute a game guy.....will handle the heavy weight role if needed but can actually contribute a la Laperriere (7th rounder), Cody McLeod (undrafted) or David Clarkson (also undrafted)?

There must be something about Grantham that stands out in order for Sutter to use a pick on him.

Grantham played alot of minutes tonight. He plays on the top line with Colin Long and Duval i think. He seems to hold his own quite well. He also played PP on the first unit tonight.
