$15000 budget, 50 people party - Where to go?
If you had a $15000 budget and had to plan a celebration party for 50 people, where would you go?
I'm thinking Vegas, but at that budget it's only $300/person. I know rates are really low right now, but I'm not sure if $300/person is enough. thoughts?
I'm in Vancouver, so Whistler, Seattle and other stuff local to here are options as well.
any ideas?

do it somewhere local and do it up big time, if you go to vegas mostof the money will be spent on travel and accommodations.

Rent a some party buses. Book a whole bunch a rooms in a hotel either in whistler, or panorama, or banff or something. Have at 'er!
...or you could do something classier....but when it boils down to it, all you need is a dance floor, lots of hotel rooms & booze and a hot tub.

I'd say, stay in Canada and avoid the .75/1 exchange rate.

Some time in March, no date in particular. And it can be 1 big night, or a weekend getaway type thing which is more likely.

Not looking for something too classy. There will be classy looking people, and people with lots of money and good jobs, but think Montreal Canadians type party.
You've nailed it with the necessary requirements, but I'd also like to drag it into a 2-3 night party by taking it out of town.

Party boat!!!!
Every time I see one of those coming in to Granville Island the people on them look to be having quite a lot of drunken fun. With 15 Gr you could probably even rent out a nice location for when you return.

Ditto the party boat. Some friends got married on a boat this past summer, it was about 60 hours of party madness.
with the kind of budget you've got you can do something very, very awesome if you stay close to home and don't spend any money on travel.

50 people in 1 house in Banff? That would certainly be entertaining. Banff is too far though, we're in Vancouver, so Whistler would be a more likely spot for something like that, and it would have to be many houses/lodges.

Ahhh yeah didn't see your location. Yeah, do whistler then. Go up to the mountains, lots to do there.
50 people you just need a bigger spot that's all. They have em. Or get two or three places that are attached.
