I would also like to keep those barricades up on Memorial,no traffic,nice and quiet. B-)

			Fish Creek is FLOODED! Big time! Never seen anything even close to this. These pics were taken (before my friggin battery died) on the ridge beside Canyon Meadows Drive. About a block east of the Esso and Blockbuster. |

 I dont know if it is rain related, but there was a massive accident on 14th St SW just north of Heritage. 14th is closed entirely, and Elbow, Southland, 14th and Heritage are just complete nonsense right now.

I think ,just assuming I suppose, that the flows are from near the zoo before the weir and the diversion.There is a map and you can take it from Bearspaw or Calgary. Here is the latest;

RBOWCALG      2005-06-18 15:00:00          3.091       754.05
  RBOWCALG      2005-06-18 15:15:00          3.088       752.43
  RBOWCALG      2005-06-18 15:30:00          3.098       757.84
  RBOWCALG      2005-06-18 15:45:00          3.098       757.84
  RBOWCALG      2005-06-18 16:00:00          3.098       757.84

Not much change just flowing fast.

I don't think the numbers at the Ghost or Bearspaw would reflect much because humans are controlling them. Except of course if either crests or all the water is released, a different story. Sometimes I can't get any readings so I left the window open. Here is the elbow after Glenmore;

 I can finally see the mountains again and patches of blue sky.. with a little sunshine up on the hill. This insane precip looks to be a thing of the past.

But man, what a crazy couple of days!

 Top of the arc's? forget it I would be electructed and floating down the Bow by now.
If it reaches the lower bridge it crests the banks and fotze and otto and I are sandbagging to beat hell. there is a lot of room before they shut the lower deck down.

But I am taking the dog for a walk so I will check it out.
Rain quit by the way.

			Great shots fotze,I was pretty sure that the arches were away too high,but I wouldn't drive on the lower bridge anyway in case of a tsunami or something.Memorial drive is still closed but they have just about pumped the water off it.
 Should be open soon.
 Scary day just the same. Highest and fastest I have seen the Bow.
 By the way they are telling the city waterworks guys that they expect it to crest at 6 tomorrow morning.Still rising;

			STAMPEDE GROUNDS ARE BEING EVACUATED as of 9:00. The barns are flooding and they are shutting off power to the grandstand, the water is very close to going into the grandstand.
 Inside info,

 "there is a worry about the dam" - But don't read too much into that, sounds like just some one over reacting.
