I always considered your 98-99 team to be the best WHL team I've seen in the last ten years. I never really watched the 'Dub before that season (which was the year the Ice moved to Cranbrook). Interesting though that the only guy from that team who really has made an impact in the NHL is Brad Stuart, and he was a deadline pickup that year from the Pats (for Geremia and Choukalos if my memory serves me).
Honourable mention goes to the 2006-07 Giants though.
EDIT: WK did you go last night? Chilliwack didn't look too bad I thought, I like Sundher.

I would be shocked if Lowry doesn't end up winning coach of the year.
Anyway, Hitmen are blasting the Warriors tonight, 6-2 in the third. Foucault was absolutely robbed of a hat trick when his breakaway goal for the trick was disallowed because the penalty box attendant let him out of the box a second early.

8-4 the final. Joel Broda with a hat trick vs his old team tonight. The Hitmen host the Blades on Wednesday night in what should be a very good game.

The record is 58 wins so they need 8 wins in their last 10 to set a new franchise record. I think the record will fall.

It seems like it would be impossible, but .800 hockey over the last ten games would actually be below their winning % over the first 62.

604, did you notice that the Kings sent Moller to Manchester and not Seattle?
EDIT: I guess they are calling at conditioning move.

^^ I saw that in the paper this morning, and I think according to the eligibility rules, he can't even play in any games for the Monarchs.
We haven't heard the last of it, and the Kings are really dragging their feet so it's tough to tell, but I think Seattle is a dark horse already and getting him would only help (they have to figure out a way to draw Tri-City in the first round though).

Since he's a Euro, he should be able to play

Its different rules for him since he came over and played in the CHL he doesn't get the same Euro rules for guys coming straight from Europe. (Or so I have been told in regards to the Sbisa situation earlier this year)

Brandon Kozun is the WHL Player of the Week for the second time this year. I really hope the Flames can get this kid with a late pick come June.

I believe you are correct. Moller will have signed a standard contract in the WHL, and that would tie him to the CHL rules. Thus the reason why the Kings sent him down for "conditioning". I believe he can stay in Manchester only two weeks, then has to either be recalled or sent to Seattle.

Hitmen with a 5-1 statement win over Saskatoon tonight, scoring 4 goals in the second period. Postma's +60 leads the WHL, and is just +8 back of Brendl's team record.

Hitmen pound the Rebels 7-2 tonight, setting the franchise record for home wins in one season with their 31st. Hitmen jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first period, including 3 powerplay goals, and 3 goals in 55 seconds.
Brandon Kozun keeps piling up the points, adding another 4 to extend his streak to 14 games, break the 100 point mark, and claim the league lead. Sonne extended his point streak to sixteen games adding 2 goals and Broda chipped in with a goal and 2 assists.
