Man, pickin's are getting slim!
With the 10th overall pick, Russic cautiously selects Carolina.
Jade pm'd.

We should go around the table and post who we would have picked if their first choice hadn't been picked. Then we can say "we told you so" when our first choice wins!
I would have picked JT...

Brendan or Erinn.
I got Sydney, which I'm happy with.

Isn't JT a redneck?
I don't think they'll keep him around long

That's certainly possible, but I thought there was just enough in his bio, that maybe he isn't a typical redneck, and I thought he might earn a pass on that count. Only time will tell, after we see the first episode. If these people write their own bio's, who knows who tells the truth or not.
I really didn't see a clear winner from the bio's like I thought I did from last season when I picked Marcus.

Rednecks often have a bit of a hard time I find. They usually work their asses off but at the same time they are rarely wise enough to keep from blowing a gasket at the wrong time. There are certain groups of people I like to ignore when it comes to survivor pools ... rednecks tend to be one of those groups. They always have a "I'm going to play it dumb so everybody thinks I'm not a threat" and then they do something incredibly dumb (I'm looking at you and that unplayed idol on your lap, James).
On one had I would also be weary of people that wear their hearts on their sleeves, but on the other hand last Survivor saw Sugar and that super-bit** go pretty deep. It really boils down to how smart the person is that is doing the heart sleeve wearing.

The cute girl next door always seems to get to ride coattails until near the end, so I'm happy with my pick of Sydney. This is also why I wanted Erinn.
I would've been happy with Brendan or Stephen too, as they seem like they could be good at individual challenges, without having that intimidating attitude or appearance.
I'm actually pretty pumped for tomorrow now though! I haven't been this excited for Survivor in a long time.
