Yeah, we still have a loooooong ways. Winter sucks! Didn't you look into going on a trip once? I looked a month or so ago and it was like $2600 for a week. That seems like a bit much to me.

Ya, the package tours are a killer (mainly because of insurance and it being a business).

HOWEVER... plane tickets down and a rental car and roadside motels... now were talking cheap

I'd still hit it. Don't know if I'd admit to it though.

Not so much fun for these folks:

Quote:
The severe storms and tornadoes that uprooted trees, demolished homes and killed at least four people in central Oklahoma on Tuesday are expected to continue Wednesday, authorities said.

A tornado warning was in effect early Wednesday for central Oklahoma, extending to parts of Arkansas, the National Weather Service said.

That was bad news for people in the Oklahoma city of Lone Grove, who were dealing with massive damage from the deadly storm that hit the area Tuesday.

Thats a great place to live, ice storms, snow storms and tornado's within 2 weeks of each other...enjoy the sirens but please say a little something for the 7 people killed and 500 injured in the last 2 weeks.

Well it was a bad deal, im sorry for the people who lost thier lives and homes last night, i know how it feels as i had tons of friends who lost their homes and loved ones in the May 3, 1999 tornado i was in ..... the people who died in Oklahoma last night were all in a trailer park it seems....I just never understood why people choose to stay in the trailer park rather than getting away....

and yes weird weather patterns are a staple in Oklahoma this time of the year... i would be surprised if we got 12 inches of snow next week follwed by 3 days of 80 degree weather....
