TSN just reminded us that 2003 was the year the AL MVP award was controversially awarded to A-rod over Delgado, in a very close race.

No question who should have won it now. Too bad they can't strip past awards, Delgado is as clean as they come. (I think!)

Good on A-Rod to at least come clean and not live a lie like Bonds and Clemens. At least he can now move on and live with the consequences. I bet Bonds and Clemens are wishing they now did the same thing.

Palmeiro too. What a way to tarnish a career.

A-rod coming clean was the right choice, he's clearly learned from watching guys like the one's you mentioned have their lives turned upside down.

Giambi came clean, and is pretty respected for it...maybe gave his teammate some advice.

Delgado is a ###### first of all, so he's one of the last people I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt to. This is what I'm saying, how can A-Rod be absolutely vilified, when it is so obvious that there are many many others using, or others who have used. I really want to see the other 103 names on that list.

How is Delgado a ######?

wonder how many people thought the same of Arod up until a few days ago. To suggest Delgado was clean without proof is burying ones head in the sand a little bit don't you think?

The whole not standing for the star spangled banner (or was it God bless America?) REALLY rubbed me the wrong way. But I agree with the previous poster, one is being naive if they assume anyone is clean atthis point.

How sad is it that guys now have to prove they're clean or else they're assumed cheaters?

I said "I think" he's clean. Obviously no proof of that. Delgado never struck me as that type of player though. I don't see why he wouldn't get the benefit of the doubt.

They can dry their tears with the millions of dollars they've earned.

Any player who is known to have juiced should be kept out of the hof IMO. If that means no one enters cooperstown so be it.

Dont let these slumdog millionaires taint the hall that Ruth built.

His name was brought up in a "insiders" list of players that were going to be named a day before the Mitchell Report came out. Obviously it was totally false as he wasn't implicated in the report.

The closest Pujols has come to having any allegations is that people think he is older than he claims, but he has not been linked with any reputable reports of steroids use.

As of right now, there are a minimum of 103 people otherthan A-Rod who have tested positve, so until that entire list is let out, I do t think it's fair to tarnish Rodriguez and let everyone else off scot free. We need to either see the rest of this list, or move on and let Rodriguez in the HoF as if this never happened.

Miguel Tejada has been charged with lying to Congress about steroids.

What is wrong with these morons who lie to Congress? It's one thing to lie to Katie Couric, its another to lie under oath.

I for one am waiting for the announcement that A-Rod has been charged with lying to Katie Couric.

I overlooked the "10 years" part of your OP. My bad.

EDIT: I will say that I think Griffey is going to be one of the few to make it into the Hall from the steroids era.

With all these cheaters, we don't even know who's got the real talent anymore. One guy gets a good/great season then the next thing you know he was on steroid. McGwire, Sosa, Bonds, Palmeiro, Tejada, Clemens and now Rodriguez. Now i am wondering if the following good players are clean or not: Roy Halliday, Big Papi, Manny Ramirez, and others. Are we going to be dissapointed at the end?
