I'd say that the 550 feels kind of cheap.. not cheap as in bad materials, the plastic is solid and stuff, but the button action just takes a bit too much effort for some of them in my opinion.

The 880 though isn't like that. Can't comment on the 6xx ones.

I believe that with some of the Uber-remotes, they will accept macros (across multiple devices) so that you only push one button to play DVDs, watch TV or play games.

At least that's what I'm looking for.

Not married?

The wife factor is huge when you have a big system with 4 or 5 remotes.

Harmony 880 here. It's a pretty good price at Costco I believe. No problems with the text fading.

Harmony One. Can't compare with the other ones mentioned, but it is awesome, not only in functionality but in ergonomics and quality of build.

Harmony 880 - same deal, got it for $130 on August 13, 2007 from Dell Days of Deals.

Got it because of the recharge bay, my old Harmony went through batteries quick.

Harmony One. Working great for the HD-PVR and TV. Kinda flakey with the HTPC, so still working out some bugs on that end.
