Celeb Abuse On A Female #2: Chris Jericho Confronts Female Fan, Boyfriend.
I have seperated the two stories, as it was two different situations, and I have opinions on both.
Here's the statement from WWE.com,
Quote:
After leaving a live event in Victoria, British Columbia on Saturday evening, Chris Jericho's car was attacked by a mob when he was stopped at a stop sign. Unable to proceed, Chris Jericho exited his car to ask the crowd to clear a path so he could continue through the intersection. A man and a woman physically and verbally assaulted Mr. Jericho. Arena and WWE security arrived to establish enough order to allow Mr. Jericho to re-enter his vehicle and depart. The local police arrived minutes later. Mr. Jericho was unharmed in the incident. The WWE is working with local authorities who are investigating the incident to identify the man and woman who fled the scene
Sounds, and looks like security was not doing their job. From what I've read, the female atempted to physically confront Jericho more than once, and security did not dissolve the issue. Jericho tried to re-enter his car, was confronted again, and handled the situation... poor or unpoor judgement. The boyfriend got involved, which is where the security seemed to amp up to the situation.
Some reports are stating that Jericho used a racial slur in reference to the boyfriend.
I think this is a case of letting your character get the best of you, and not knowing the difference of in the ring and real life. I've heard many stories of Jericho being an awesome guy, but as evident of his appearance on Larry King, where he confronted Mickey Rourke, he's taking his character a little too far.

These people are pathetic. You're going to confront an actor because he lost a "fight". WRESTLING IS FAKE, I knew it when I was 7 years old. Get over it.

I agree, with burn. This chick deserved it. And I don't want to hear any of this "you never hit a women" crap, if you are being assaulted, you defend yourself. I'm sure he didn't crank her as hard as he could've. Security totally dropped the ball here. As for the racial slur, if he did infact say it, that is bad judgement.

Ummm was that interview on Larry King not a work? A little good old fashion kayfabe.
It sounds like he tried to walk away more then once and they kept harassing him. If they physically assaulted him he should defend himself. Did he even hit her or just push her away?
*After watching the video he for sure threw a punch, but if i had my back turned and some random spat on me and jumped on my back I would most definitely do the same thing.

I completely understand that... but the constant pushing and escalation of his taunting etc, I thought was over and above the character he's "being" right now.
You could actually tell that Rourke wasn't taking it seriously. Even through the tons of plastic surgery he's had, there was a smirk there.
Watching the You Tube clip provided Pagal I don't think Jericho is at fault. The security guards were inadequate at best and the girl was stepping over the line showing her true trailer park self.
Guy or girl, what is Jericho supposed to do? Loser fans.

Only WWE fans? Why? Because they crowded around one of their favorites in hopes of getting a picture with him? That has never happened to any other celebrity before. Or are you inferring to the fan who attacked him because he was ignoring the fans? Yeah, that one fan's actions are identical to what any other fan would have done.
Wrestling is also popular in New York City and has one of the highest rated cable tv shows on Televison, on topic I don't blame Jericho for defending himself, I might have done the same.
