I did purchase the SX10 IS on Boxing day.
Vistek had a sale and I got it for about 380 tx incl.
I just got back from a cruise to Mexico and had a blast taking pictures with it.
I am the most amateur photog you can get but as noted I read the manual and learned how to use some of the features.
For a point & Shoot I thought it was a great camera.
