that was a cool translation of the song. imagine those college students were pretty pumped to be playing on it too...

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.
OK - After the T.I./JT performance, I will revise my previous statement about rap not translating well "ever" to "most of the time." I thought that was a pretty good show.
Radiohead was great as usual, but one song just isn't enough.
I enjoyed it, as I enjoy listening to the band Radiohead. While they have put out lots of great pop music in the past, typically one has to listen to a Radiohead record many times before they get it. About 100 or so listens should do it.

I actually never heard a Radiohead song before, I didnt even know they had this controversial love em or hate em following...
anyhow, caught the performance and i thought it was good. also really liked the JT/TI act ... also liked the Sugarland vocal ... other than that, didnt see any other acts.
TV on the Radio played SNL last night (Did you see it? I bet you're thinking "It wasn't as good as that show used to be in the old days of 1993"), performing Dear Science's first two singles, "Golden Age" and "Dancing Choose." "Golden Age" (above) has a bouncy, party vibe thanks to members of Celebration and Antibalas backing the band up for a resolutely lush version of the song. "Dancing Choose" (below) is typically incendiary, with lead singer Tunde Adebimpe serving as a manic soapbox preacher, rapping/singing the song's lyrics while his band rocks behind him. Both performances were pretty incredible, among the best I can remember from SNL.
Just watched it again. It gives me chills - what a wonderful racket! My wife was unmoved though. Best SNL performance since Radiohead did National Anthem.

I liked it. I'm not sure I really "got it" but I liked it anyways.

I think the love em, or hate em thing started in the mid to late 90s when Radiohead got a lot of airplay on stations like CJAY. The type of listener who likes to tune into CJAY and hear songs like "Panama" would tune in and hear "Paranoid Android" and would promptly say 'No Thanks' and switch to Rock 107. After constantly having to switch away from their favorite radio station, they developed a hate on for Radiohead. Conversely those who were fans of Radiohead, loved them even more for their ability to turn off these types of people.
Personally I really don't like Radiohead. I think their music is summed up by the expression that complexity doesn't always sound better.
I saw Radiohead in old Mac Hall, during the Bends tour, they brought out music stands and played "new stuff" from their up coming album......OK Computer. They were good played about 2 1/2 hours, but I find their new stuff to be more musical wnaking

I still believe The Bends was their best album.
I agree with The Bends being their best album. But I do like In Rainbows more then any of their albums since OK Computer.
