^^ Not to come off as a raging fanboy or anything, but the fact that after 40 reviews the game sits at a 93 on metacritic my guess is that the review posted is more of an outlier.

Oh probably. When I read the review I was like, so what. If it's technically as great as he says, who cares if the train level is in a tunnel.

It sounds like only people who pre-ordered it from GameStop get it early. Everyone else in North America has to wait for the day before it's released.

It's probably a good sign that even the reviews that rip on the game still praise the graphics. I'm not a graphic whore or anything ... but I kind of am.

Sorry, I can't get it up for console graphics after playing games like Crysis on PC.
Killzone 2 just seems like another generic console FPS that is overhyped to me. I played Killzone 1, I didn't see what was so special.

That said, the Killzone 2 intro cinematic is quite awesome. I just wish the game were more like that, perhaps with space combat and aerial fighting and something on more of a grand scale. So tired of just being another infantry guy with inexplicably large amounts of health running around shooting everyone else.

It's pretty much a myth nowadays that you need an incredibly expensive computer to run modern games.

If you have a relatively dual core computer from the last 2 years with at least 2GB ram, you just need a videocard upgrade. My videocard that plays Crysis costs less than $100 on sale.

I'm an illustration student so all I have is a macbook pro. I'm only now getting into the half life games and stuff like left4dead with bootcamp. I can actually run crysis but the setting are waaay down so I don't even bother. Maybe in another 2 years when I upgrade lol.

I gave up on pc gaming after I had to upgrade my computer several times over a two year period. I'm not computer smart in any way, so it was a major hassle and pain in the ass.

If you pick the right parts you shouldn't have that problem. I get a new computer maybe once ever 4-5 years and during that time I might not be able to play games at maximum settings for the newer games but it can still handle high graphic settings.

As far as me when it comes to PC and Console gaming if I can get it on the PC then I will with the only exception being sports games and GTA type games which just feel comfortable playing on the console.

This is what drove me nuts. When I see a game in action I want to be able to play it exactly like that. I never liked the idea that for extra money my games would run smoother, look better or both. While the consoles lag behind the computer in graphics, I like knowing that when I see a Killzone 2 video I know it'll look just like that on my tv.

As long as your gaming in HD! It kills my buddy to come over here and play NHL 09 because its just that much sharper here then at his place sans HD.

That's another thing: I'm not one of those people that wants to run cable to hook up my computer to my tv. When I play games I want to be on a couch, in my living room, in front of a large hdtv. Anything less than that is purely unacceptable.

Another reason I feel the novelty of Wii wears off fast. When I want to play vids, I am in a sloth mood. Not a shake the controller like I am masturbating mood.

Exactly the reason why I hate console gaming. When I want to play games I want to be in a chair, in a room, with a nice high resolution monitor 1-2 feet in front of my face with a desk supporting my arms and a place to put things (food/drink/books, etc.)

I hate playing games on a couch in a big empty room slouching with a controller leaning forward and not ever being comfortable and not having any precise control over what I am doing. For me, I think sitting on a couch in front of a TV is a really stupid thing and I never ever do it. I don't even watch TV. When I watch a Flames game, I am on my computer with the TV beside it so I can do other things if the game gets boring or just surf CP or read up on stats or do things to otherwise occupy my wandering ADD mind.

Haha, even though I'm sorta guilty of it this thread has gone from dogs vs cats to couches vs chairs.
Anyways I tried the very short demo. Graphics are ace. Sound is awesome(especially going through your home theatre) but the dialogue...yeah, I liked the characters from the first better. These guys seem like they're just the typical soldiers that swear a lot. I'll need the full game to decide but so far it seems like a really polished shooter. There's nothing particularly innovative...but the production value is through the roof. Also the loading screen is neat haha.

			Console Gaming > PC Gaming.
There is only three PC games that are worth a damn: Diablo series (Can't freekin wait 'til 3), Sims series, and Age of Empire series.

Haven't played Killzone 2 yet, so no input other than the graphics looks good.

 That is all.
