60 year old woman gives birth in Calgary
WTF? Twins!
Who the hell would give a 60 year old woman fertility treatment? This is just wrong.

Wow for the twins it must have been like sliding down a slide coated with sandpaper.

Yay for being dead when your kids are turning 18... or at least close to it.
Hey kids, come change mommas diaper...
Momma needs a scrubbin', come soap my back up. Watch my liver spots and wrinkles.

I really hope Alberta Tax Dollars did not go to helping this woman get pregnant.
I wonder if the doctor retired right after, claiming horrific visions

Man, I don't like kids on a good day, and do not know her personal situation, but this is beyond selfish. She's 60, lets say she lives until shes 75, the kids will be 15. That's a pretty crappy position to put kids in. Unless ofcourse she is loaded, then the quicker she keels over the better for the kids in a money situation I guess.

Yeah I agree with the selfish part. If she lives to life expectancy only, that is a crappy time in your kids lives to be dying. There has got to be so many ethical and moral issues at play here.

This woman is incredibly selfish and is going to be putting those twin boys through a lot of hurt. Chances are she may not live long enough to see them graduate from HS or get married for that matter. Then there's the constant questions and jokes those boys would be bombarded with over the years in regards to why thier mother chose to have babies at age 60.

At lest they won't have to worry about their friends joking about having a little romantic time with their mom... because really... the joke would be on them. And really... would she be in any position to have another kid at 80+ ... I guess with the natural phenomenon of menopause, probably not.... but the question remains.

In the Herald, it says that she went back to India to get in-vetro as she was too old to get it in Canada.

That's right. The DNA treatments are only a decade away. She just has to last to 70 or so and they probably have it solved--aging that is!!!!!

She'll have to put the babies down the front of her pants to breastfeed.

That's disgusting some times I get so annoyed by selfish people like this. If you really wanted a kid why not adopt one of the thousands of kids/teens looking for a home.

I figure anyone who's gone to this length to have kids is probably going to love them more than most. Is it an ideal situation? No. But reading that article certainly puts it more into perspective.

It is quite conceivable that she could have grandchildren older than the twins. How bizarre. Does anyone know if she had children previously?
