It has been twelve hours, BUT you need to wait 15 hours before picking. If Tiger doesn't pick by 11:37, then you are golden and can then make your Charlie Simmer or Keith Tkaczuk pick. Sorry, did I let the cat out of the bag?

Still 15 hours for this draft but go ahead Protto. It's daytime.

Yup, there's only a couple hours left. Chances of Tiger picking within the hour is slim since he's not on right now. Since Protto is online, no point waiting. I tend to shorten the time if it's during the day and extend the time if it's during the night.

Team Modern Era selects...

Mats Johan Sundin (born February 13, 1971) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player with the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He has played most of his career up to this point with the Toronto Maple Leafs where, at the end of the 2007–08 NHL season, he had been the second-longest active serving captain in the NHL, behind Joe Sakic of the Colorado Avalanche, and the longest serving non-North American born captain in NHL history.[1] Sundin began his career with the Quebec Nordiques and was traded to the Leafs in 1994.
Excluding his first season and the shortened lockout season, Sundin has scored at least 70 points every year. He has played at least 70 games in every full length NHL season of his career, and has led the Leafs in points in every year he has been with the team except 2002-03, when Alexander Mogilny beat him by seven points. A crush would include the word 'mmmm'

I use 'yikes' to indicate shock, disgust, freakedoutishness.

That was almost as bad as the Borje Salming picture that StrayBullet put up that made him look like he was at a gay pride parade (Salming, not Stray). Is it something about the Swedes? They did invent the sex change, maybe they are just a gender confused nation.

Punk has 'til 12:46 unless GirlySports says otherwise.

With our 12th Round pick, Punk's Puckers Select:

At Center

The Highest scoring Sutter Brother, Brent Sutter

Brent Colin Sutter (born 10 June, 1962 in Viking, Alberta, Canada) is a retired National Hockey League (NHL) player and current head coach of the NHL's New Jersey Devils. He is the owner, and former president, general manager and head coach of the Red Deer Rebels in the Western Hockey League (WHL), who won the Memorial Cup championship in 2001. Brian Sutter replaced Brent as the head coach of the Rebels. He is the third youngest of seven Sutter brothers, six of whom made the NHL (along with Brian, Darryl, Duane, Rich and Ron). Brent spent the better part of seven seasons playing as a teammate of older brother Duane. In their first two years together on the New York Islanders, they were members of the 1982 and 1983 Stanley Cup Champions.

again, how is this guy still around...

Cyclones are very pleased to announce our next pick, for our 4th defenceman, Earl Seibert.

Earl Seibert played his junior hockey in his hometown, Kitchener, and turned pro in 1929 with the Springfield Indians of the Can-Am league. During his two-year term in Springfield, he suffered a serious concussion and for the rest of his career wore a helmet, making him the first player to wear headgear on a regular basis. In 1931 Seibert joined the New York Rangers, beginning a 15-year NHL career during which he'd become one of the league's premier players.

Seibert's demeanor was always serious. On the ice, this manifested itself in mature play and tremendous leadership.

Seibert established himself as one of the best defensemen of his era. He was named to the First or Second All-Star Team each year between 1935 and 1944, a feat surpassed only by Gordie Howe, Maurice Richard, Bobby Hull and Doug Harvey. Seibert was generally regarded as second only to Eddie Shore in terms of skill and rugged play, and Shore once confessed that Seibert was the only man he was afraid to fight. Defensively, Seibert was one of the best shot-blockers in the game, and he could move the puck just as quickly as anyone.

Although his career was full of great accomplishments, it was compromised by one of the worst accidents in the history of the game. On January 28, 1937, in a game against the Montreal Canadiens, Seibert and Howie Morenz chased after a puck behind the Chicago net. Seibert tied up his man on the play, but Morenz fell awkwardly into the boards, shattering his leg. Just six weeks later, Morenz died in hospital, having never recovered emotionally from the devastation of the career-ending injury. Seibert himself never really got over the trauma; whenever he was asked if he'd ever played against Morenz, he'd reply bitterly, "Yeah. I killed him."
In 1963 he was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame and, along with his father, who was elected in 1961, became the first father-son combination ever elected as players.

Team Cylones recap:
Center-1: Stan Mikita (2xHart, 3xArt Ross, 6x1st team, 2x2nd team, 2x Bying)
Right Wing-1: Teemu Selanne (Richard, Calder, Masterton, 2x1st team, 2x2nd team)
