I'm not saying its the best game I've ever seen, just the best Super Bowl. Name a Super Bowl from XXV - XLIII(all the ones I've seen) that you feel was better. The only ones that IMO come close are XXXVIII(Pats over Panthers) and last year.

Just off the top of my head a few are better
In no particular order
Titans-Rams (one yard short)
Pats-Panthers as you mentioned
Pats-Eagles was good until McNabb ran out of breath.
Colts-Bears (opening kickoff for a touchdown and Colts fight back)
Denver-GB (Elway against Favre and Elway's helicopter spin for a first down)
And of course Giants-NE last year that broke the perfect season.

Fair enough, that's your opinion, I'm fine with that. Personally I think last night's was better than all of those. Titans/Rams was back and forth and of course the ending was great, but I didnt think the game itself was all that memorable save for the final play. Pats/Eagles I think the final score made it seem better than it was. I felt that was a bit of a snoozer. Colts/Bears I think the Colts dominated the entire game with the exception of the opening kick-off. I think the Bears were really lucky it was raining that day otherwise it could've been worse.
Denver/GB I knew that one would get tossed out. Elway's one of my all-time favs and it was definitely a special moment, and the helicopter spin epitomizes how badly he wanted it. But take all the Elway emphasis out of it and I didnt think it was that great of a game. And as for last year's, I dont see how that was any different than your reasoning for not liking this one. It was basically a snoozer(in the offensive sense. I loved watching all the Giants DL pressure on Brady all game) until the last 10mins.

Fair enough. I thought the difference between the last two super bowls was that the NE-Giants game was low scoring because of good defense and not inept or conservative play. The defenses were blitzing like crazy, how many blitzes did you see yesterday? Warner had time to throw and still couldn't connect.
Arizona is a run and gun team and scored at will in the three playoffs games. Then they decide to do nothing in the first half? And Pittsburgh was equally inept in the red zone.
Go back and read this thread, up to the third quarter, everyone was whining about everything. That last quarter saved this game but not enough to make it a classic. I can't give a positive review to anything that was bad as long as this was.

Haha yeah I seem to have a tendency to like games that other's don't. I remember last year being at a Super Bowl party and I enjoyed it from start to finish, I loved the pressure the Giants were bringing. Meanwhile everyone around me was whining about what a boring game it was. I totally disagreed. I dont know why I'm a Saints fan considering the type of ball I enjoy. Knowing what I know now about teams, if I could pick again I'd probably go the Steelers/Jaguars/Ravens route.
You're right, there wasn't as much pressure in this one as last year, but I also think the Steelers have alot better secondary than the Giants did last year so they didnt feel as much pressure to commit heavily to getting in Warner's face(whereas the Giants basically knew it was get to Brady or get torched). I really wish TV telecasts would find a way to show games at an angle where we can see the play developing downfield. I have a feeling the Steelers secondary was doing an excellent job sticking to the AZ receivers(as has been their MO all year), hence why Warner couldn't find anybody even when he had time. I kind of expected Warner and the Cards O to stall going into that game.
I do agree though that the Cards for the most part looked sloppy, you could tell they were nervous. Seriously how many times can you mis-judge punts/kick-offs?? I mentioned at one point yesterday that I felt like I was watching men vs. boys. It was pretty clear for most of that game which franchise had been there before, and which one was in uncharted territory.

I still think Rams vs. Pats is the best Superbowl I've ever watched.

I made the fatal mistake of watching that one with my ex instead of going out with the boys. So instead of spending the afternoon filling my face and drinking beer, I spent it arguing and having to flip back and forth during commercials to Ally McBeal. One of my all-time regrets. Maybe its why I dont include in my list of Super Bowl favs.

I thought this was near to top in the best super bowl I've seen. I don't think the refs we're bad. The only real questionable one is the roughing the passer because its right after he threw the ball. But that's how it is in the rules and I wish that could be tweaked a bit so a player doesn't have to try to break his ankles to avoid finishing his tackle on the QB.
But this game had so many impressive plays. The 100 yard interception return to end the half, the Fitzgerald TDs, and of course the play that won the Steelers the Superbowl. Although the Cards end up killing themselves with all the penalties they took, they crawled back to get the lead in the final part of the game, and then have their hearts ripped out by a drive that only legendary QBs can do and as clutch of a catch a receiver can make. This is what the super bowl is all about. Never finished until the final seconds are off the clock.
Back to back classic Super Bowls.
As for Top super Bowls: I have to echo what GirlySports said and add this one in as well. In fact, it was Super Bowl XXXII that turned me into a football fan and Broncos fan.
EDIT: I say this is my top five
Super Bowl XLIII
Super Bowl XLII (One Giant Upset)
Super Bowl XXXIV (One yard short, can't get any shorter)
Super Bowl XXXII (Elway finally wins)
Super Bowl XXXVIII

Oh come on now. We all know Super Bowl IV is the greatest of all time. (except I wasn't alive to watch it).

This was only the greatest Super Bowl ever if we only count the last 5 or 6 minutes of the 4th quarter. Other than that it was a snoozefest.
Maybe best ending ever, last year being a close second. But lets not forget is was a boring game until Arizona came back after being down 20-7. Until that point the game was just as mediocre as most other Super Bowls.

Really?
Going into halftime it looked like the Cards would perhaps take the lead or at least tie, but instead the longest play in SB history happens, and that is a snoozefest?
I thought it was pretty good. 24 points scored in the first half, a couple of turnovers, the Cards showing they can mount a drive against the #1 defense.
Just because there were 2 clutch drives at the end does not diminish the football that was played earlier in the game.
Way better then the Steelers/Ravens game. I like good defense, but holy cow, a little flow is nice, too.

If you didn't find this game exciting, you probably don't really like football.
