I can hardly wait for said fresh blanket of snow. I live in an inner-city home with condo's everywhere on a busy street within walking distance of downtown and a trendy shopping centre. Since I've moved in I have constantly had troubles finding parking in front of my own place for obvious reasons. That is until the snow hit! We currently have at least a foot of slush/ice spanning 8 feet out form the curb occupying all the parking space on our road. I've probably pushed out a dozen cars over the last month from in front of my place. Everyday less and less cars park on our street and now as a result I always have VIP parking at my door. My truck has done a masterful job of carving out giant ruts all over the place. It's to the point now that I don't think any vehicle with a sub 29" tire can enter without getting high centered. Glorious! I hope this snow never melts!

I have a low car, and I have winter tires. I don't seem to have any problems... and I agree, parking is awesome these days. When you're low you just have to be smart, but a lot of people have trouble...

Watch me get stuck now, or not be able to find parking next time.

Why to red lights and sirens cause people to turn stupid?

Last night I was coming out of the Safeway on Southland and MacLeod, and stopped to let a fire truck pass. The chick behind me was so mesmerized she forgot to stop until she hit the back of me. No damage, but dammit, look where the car is going!

Wow...I definitely condescend to the Tempo driving public.

People with Tempos are third class citizens.

I still for the life of me cannot understand the mentality of people who don't signal when doing a lane change, yet feel the need to signal when they're already in a turning lane (and have no where to go but to turn). If you're going to be a jerk and not signal, at least be consistent. By not signalling when neccessary, but needlessly signalling when its unneccessary, you just come off as stupid. And its not just one or two people either. I've noticed on numerous occasions that a number of people have that habit.

These morons piss me off more than anything. The problem is the system and people not being taught properly. When I took drivers education years ago the one thing they mentioned about signals was that you were to signal your intentions. Not signal what you're are already doing or what you have to do. You sir are a smart man, Yen Man.

So I'm driving downtown about an hour ago and I'm behind some tool that sloooooows down to 3kph because the light ahead is red. So I'm quietly cursing him when someone pulls into the shoulder beside us so that they can turn right (it was the giant right hand lane on 8th street NB at 5th). Suddenly the d-bag in front of me gets all rankled and speeds up and pushes over to the right to keep the guy from passing and turning. So I have an aneurism... I can handle poor driving, but now this guy is just being a complete a-hole. I'm in my truck just swearing at the guy telling him he's the idiot, not the guy trying to pass, calling him a f-ing moron and all the bad words that come to mind... And he sees me in the rearview swearing at him.... So what does he do? Decides to turn as well (I was signalling) and once we're around the corner, he rolls his window down to ask me if I want to fight. I replied with something to the effect of "I'd rather give you a f-ing driving lesson, you moron." And of course, he follows for a block or two flipping me off and waving his fist....

Yeah, because I'm going to join you in mental ######ation and fight you because you can't drive. F*** this city has some of the biggest idiots on the road.

I dunno. Seems like it. Especially downtown. Seems like there are alot of people that are just totally oblivious and/or selfish. The ones that just poke along because they're not on any type of schedule and they think that people that want to do the speed limit are rednecks that need to calm down.
There also seems to be alot of those people that leave 5 car spaces in front of them and the lane next to them is constantly spilling into it, so they're constantly slowing down to maintain this ridiculous amount of space. Freaks. Who licenses these people?

Its getting worse.. I constantly have people following me or screaming @ me on my way home on Crowchild. Here's an idea you morons, don't wait until the LAST second to get out of the lane that turns into University Dr so you block everyone who actually takes that road.

Is it so hard for people to think ahead 3 seconds and turn when theres an opening at the bottom of the hill. Sheesh.

Argh! That drives me crazy! It's not idiocy, it's asshollery. It's "I'm much too important to get in line with these people, I'm going to screw up traffic up there by forcing my way in and thereby save a few seconds."

Same thing happens on Crowchild NB at the exit for 9th ave. I often jump on Crowchild at 17th and want to exit immediately onto 9th. The lane will be littered with people trying to get in the lanes that continue north. It blows my mind how many people do this. And no, that's not to be confused with using lanes that end properly.

I had some broad lock up her brakes in a turn lane that was still green because she was anticipating the red. She literally stopped at the line when the light was still flashing green. I almost plowed into her thinking that no sane individual wants to wait for a light thats still Fing green.

My other favorite is on 17th Ave SE, people turning left.. there's a turning lane for you to use, USE IT. Yes it's a bit narrow, but your car will in fact fit.

Most people use half the turning lane and stay half on the main road blocking the left lane of traffic... for 5 minutes while the considerate guy waits for a mile long gap in traffic.
