God I wish we were the Las vegas wranglers right now.

Hey, maybe we could send the gov there, too. He likes hockey. He dropped the first puck at a Blackhawks game when he was supposed to be at the capital for an important vote. Plus, his type of politics would probably fit right in in Vegas.

Seems like this would make more sense in the QC, considering the arena is IN Illinois...

The Mallards had their prison uniforms and sheriff uniforms and all that amateurish but awesomely fun and good for charity stuff too. Somehow I don't think that would fly in the AHL.

meh, whatever might bring in the fans and generate interest. Minor league baseball is full of these kinds of kooky promos. Good for the Wranglers management, some creative thinking to generate interest and help charity to boot.

I know this is an old thread but Sparky I went to the game here over the weekend and talked to one of the fans that had a jersey from a past auction on.He said the jerseys here usually go anywhere from $150 to$350.Very cheap compared to what we are chucking out at our auctions!!!!

Awesome! Since I just bought a game-worn Chucko and have a contract ending this week (with no work scheduled in January....I'm SO excited!), it'll be nice to keep the outlay to a minimum!!

To bump this, the Herald blog has a picture of these jerseys today. The Wranglers are wearing stripes, the Bakersfield Condors are wearing orange prison jumpsuit jerseys, and the refs are wearing cop jerseys. Hilarious. Picture at the bottom of blog.

The biggest problem is that the Wranglers are all going to look like referees.

Here are some pictures from the game. I posted them on my website. It can be found by clicking here. Some of them are a little blurry, but you can get the idea.
Also, they didn't do the auction in person. It is hosted on their website at www.lasvegaswranglers.com.

Crazy...prison bars in the penalty box! Didn't seem to help attendance though, judging by those photos.
