My all-time favourite Stampeder, but I've heard a few people who knew him say he was a jerk. I think Drew Brees had similar comments about him.
Yep, I know a former Stamps player who played with Flutie and Garcia. He still goes down to see Garcia every year and stays at his place in California but doesn't have a lot of nice things to say about Flutie.
I remember an interview with The Rock on The Tonight Show once, when Leno asked him about playing in the CFL and he said the guys on the practice roster were so poor, they would go to Luciano's at the Stadium shopping centre and fill up on the free bread and bruchetta and would take their pasta home to eat for the next two days. I always remember that story.
I miss that free bruschetta like nobody's business....
I was on a plane with Stu Laird last year, and he told me he still calls and texts Dwayne Johnson - they became buddies during Dwayne's time with the Stamps, and still keep in touch to this day.
There is absolutely no need for people to call fata on threads that are clearly making for interesting conversation.

I 'm not saying this isnt true but I met him once and had a totally different experience. I played roulette with him for a couple hours at the stampede casino and he was very friendly.
