I usually go to a few games every year. I saw the championship game when they beat Buffalo in 2004. That was an unreal game. It's a lot of fun.

This year's team is very impressive. They have probably the more balanced attack up front - and Josh Sanderson is really playing well. When the Riggers traded Lewis Ratcliff for him last year, I wasn't sure about it, but since then the Roughnecks are 7-1 and then Rock are 2-7.

San Jose was the pre-season favourite to win the division. This should be a good, and tough, matchup.

Just for anyone who might not be aware, all Roughneck home games are available live via free broadcast on the Roughneck's website, with previous home games available free on demand

Necks win 16-13. Improve to 4-0!

Kelusky, Shooter, Toth, Ranger, Doobie, Shattler, Malawsky! so many scoring options.

Defense is good too with couple young guys that are still learning.

Patty Campbell looks good too.

This team is for real.

Campbell has this ridiculous spread eagle goaltending style that just makes you wonder how tf he stops a ball at all.

Great start to this game, but a lot of stupid penalties allowed the Stealth to stay close, then a poor third quarter got them back into the game. Strong 4th did it.

That rule where every goal scored in the last two minutes of a game is reviewed simply has to go. Especially, when as shown on the first Roughnecks goal that was waived off, an NLL ref will still get the call wrong even if he gets to watch several replays.

good game. closer than it should've been tho, that called off goal in the 1st quarter was brutal, poor reffing tonight. Roughnecks look good as ever though, great 4th quarter. Go 'Necks Go.

By the way for those interested I host a pod-cast on the Roughnecks - along the same direction as Calgarypuck Radio - however with the Riggers its a post-game show from the Dome after every home game. Tonight we chatted with Paddy Campbell and Devan Wray after the game.

Campbell is one of the real characters of the league - a great guy who is always a hoot to talk with.

Still undefeated! a massive beatdown again tonight, good game.

It is kind of fun having the Stamps win the Grey Cup and have The Roughnecks in 1st in the NLL, the Hitman 1st in the WHL and the Flames 1st in the Northwest. Could be a banner year (pun intentional) for the sports teams in town

The first half tonight was as good as I've seen a lacrosse team play at both ends. The passing was spot on and the defense was stifling. The only reason this one wasn't even more of a blow-out was the Rigger shooters were a little off the mark, except for Keluwsky who was unreal all night long.

Shameless plug time:

Patty Campbell was ridiculous tonight. I felt so bad for him when that one goal in the first half did go in. I would say the first quarter was as good as I've ever seen a lacrosse team play. The second quarter saw a much better Minnesota team, but they just couldn't beat the goalie. The second half maybe favoured the Swarm slightly, but they were too far down for it to matter.

It helped that Minnesota had this habit of cross checking guys in the back nowhere near the ball. They took three penalties that way, and easily could have been called for three more.

It's great that the Roughnecks are playing well. Too bad it is the year after I give up my season's tickets. But then again, I picked up Hitmen tickets instead, and they are also doing well.

ive been noticing that too, its really cool. even our baseball team (vipers i think) were one win away from being golden league champs last year, and a calgary team (the buffalos) won the macs tourny for the first time this decade (although the talent pool this year was somewhat limited)

Riggers beat the Mammoth tonight 13-10 at the Dome to improve to 8-2. Good Job by Grant (Jiri) on the analysis on the Fan 960's coverage of the game.

I'll never understand why Colorado always gets the favour of the referees. Tonight, it was a major league cross check to the head, right in the vision of all three referees, that went completely uncalled. Just about the most obvious major penalty I have ever seen watching lacrosse, and instead the referees hand Colorado the ball and they go down and score. Pathetic.

What wasn't pathetic though was how pissed off the Roughnecks must have been after that non-call, and the two goals they then gave up to lose the lead at half time. They came out for the third and completely ran over Colorado. Won the quarter 5-0, and that was the ball game.

Aside from some issues in the first half where the boys missed the net by about five feet a dozen times, it was a pretty easy game for Calgary. Toronto on Friday... should be a good game.

Good game by the Riggers. Refs need to screw their heads on tighter; still not sure how they were able to miss the obvious head shots.

That was my first Rigger game ever, and despite having to walk from 8th street to the saddle dome due to a power outage, I will be attending more games.
