Sounds good! I'll be here. Just make sure you fill out the contact form from my website. It's the easiest way for me to keep track of my inquiries.

Yeah it's a good shot. One of my favorites. The wedding photography community really frowns upon spot coloring. Spot coloring is the cheesy black & white, with spot color that some do. I did it for this image, because I felt it made the B&G stand out more, and plus they were pretty much B&W anyway, there are no reds, or blues. I wanted to break the rules to see what would happen, but I think that was the downfall. Maybe for a different competition, I'll just do it all B&W.

It feels amazing to be recognized by my peers, they are the harshest critics.

Seriously, BOTH of yours are better. I actually like the street shot better than the escalator, but they are both amazing. That street shot is almost indescribable. Time has stopped for them. Genius!
I appreciate that. And yes, time stood still for them and the image will be with them forever.

Congrats on the award, I'm sure it's just the first of many to come in the future.
Coming up with fresh ideas is the toughest part for sure I admit. Hopefully I can share another award with your guys again sometime, the feedback has been great here. I am smiling ear to ear.

Good job dude. Was the one with the escalator photoshopped by combining 2 photos? That's the only way I can think of it being possible.

I'm sure Neeper will enlighten us but it does have the elements of a purely impromptu shot . . . . . the crowd on the right running down the escalator while the bride and groom are moving down or up but stationary on the escalator track. Then darkening the areas around the bride so that she stands out in the white dress.

The only suspicion with that is that one escalator track seems frozen while the other is blurred, suggesting a composite.

Let us know Neeper.

Shot was impromptu as Cow said. The escalator on the right was stopped and the left one was still working. I shot it at 1/10 so that the bridal party running down would look blurry. I asked the B&G to stand as still as possible. And yes, I darkened the area around the B&G to make them stand out.
