OK what kind of bugs are these??
I've been living at my new place about a month now. I'm pretty serious about always keeping everything clean. No dishes piling in the sink, no food out, no trash staying full, vacuum etc etc. So today, my daughter points out these little freaking bugs in my kitchen!
They look like tiny ants, maybe 2-3mm in length, with wings that extend past the end of their bodies. The stupid things seem to be coming from between the sink and and wall. They're just climbing along, they don't appear to be flying. I've just vacuumed 'em up so far with a dusbuster, but I thought I'd tap CP for any of their knowledge.
And yes, I tried Google. Didn't find anything. I suck at it, that's why I'm asking.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. I will not welcome any new ant overlords into my home. I'd rather crush them mercilessly.

I think they might be bimbo bugs.
They're notoriously attracted to pricks.

You're a lucky guy and things seem to always work out for you. This should clear up in no time ... unless they are karma bugs. If they are karma bugs then you are screwed.

Ahh, I should have expected that. Fair enough. Who knew anyone bothered reading my boastful ravings. How special I feel. SportsJunky, lucky for me I don't believe in Karma . Either way, I just grabbed a couple of the little buggers and they certainly look like ants. 6 legs, ant bodies, just weird little wings. Suppose I'll get some kind of killer tomorrow. Only problem is I've got my daughter in the house, can't just go spraying crap indiscriminately.
I'm sure someone knows a little something about this, PM me if necessary. For the rest, hey, pile on there hopefully someone can manage to be funny.
Edit: DFF, no it's not. Wings are just barely longer than the length of the body, they really do look like your standard kinda ant with wings.
EDIT: Well, they're not silverfish. Wooohooo thanks, but they're not fruit flies either. Probably just some stupid ant type. Thanks for the suggestions so far.

Well, Res, flying ants are notorious for not being able to fly very well. They shouldn't crowd your airspace at all at least!

If you want a quick solution, try 3 parts dish soap and 1 part water in a spray bottle and spray them down.

Maybe if you didn't dispose of the bodies, Mr Bateman, by sticking them in the walls, you wouldn't get these strange insects.

Ghosts? If these little buggers are the precursor to a jacked up Japanese horror flick taking place in my house that will suck. Unless they're sexy ghosts. That'd probably be cool.
STeeLY, the dish soap thing seems to be working so far. I just ran that solution along where they were coming out from. Their numbers have already dropped dramatically. I did get one that was a fair bit larger than the others, and assuming it's the queen I burnt it with my lighter and left it's body on the ledge for the others to find. I'll go grab some ant killer traps or spray or whatever tomorrow. Unless there is a major change, it seems everything did work out for me. Again.
And my awesomeness is free to continue.

I understand killing the queen--but isn't leaving her charred body to be found by her horrified children a bit of a ###### move?
