I just read the speech because I only caught the last few minutes at lunch when I went home.
This line jumped out at me. I thought it was said perfectly.

I like this part also:
Quote:
For we know that our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness. We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus — and non-believers. We are shaped by every language and culture, drawn from every end of this Earth; and because we have tasted the bitter swill of civil war and segregation, and emerged from that dark chapter stronger and more united, we cannot help but believe that the old hatreds shall someday pass; that the lines of tribe shall soon dissolve; that as the world grows smaller, our common humanity shall reveal itself; and that America must play its role in ushering in a new era of peace.

Actually, I think it's just Kennedy now. Some sort of "seizure" (this from non-medical people). He was conscious when they put him in the ambulance.

Wow. What a great speaker.

He is a great speaker, however, in my opinion, this speech was neither very good nor very bad. Kinda ho hum, a few good lines, I expected more.
As far as I am concerned, the person with the greatest delivery of any today was the last minister who gave the Benediction.

Too many lines and words to repeat were given out at once. On a day of such significance, in front of basically the whole world, the oath should be broken down into very small parts, so bungling does not occur.
I don't blame Obama for appearing nervous during the oath portion of the day.

It's a pretty cool ride.

And an article about some other nifty Presidentmobiles.

I saw some little feature on this guy who now owns both Carter and Reagan's limo. He removed the glass to lower the weight on one of them and with regular glass the car was 5400 pounds lighter or some crazy number.
