The Predators made the Oilers pay on the PP. We picked up 4 goals with the man advantage and cruised to a 7-2 win over the Oilers. (Welcome back Syl!)

Shane Doan answered his critics in Nashville with a goal and assist. The same day he makes headlines for being put on the block for the Predators he picks up first star honours in the win.

2-8-0 in last 10. Outstanding. 5 more games and the team is going to be blown up.

A good little win over the Canadiens. Timonen got the goal late for the win.

The Stars injury report:

Jason Strudwick is day to day with a bruised foot. Fortunately Salvador is healthy and will return to our blueline.

Fabian Brunnstrom and Jesse Winchester have been called up to Dallas and will play tomorrow against the Blues. First CPHL game for both of them. Pretty amazing that one year ago, very few people knew who Brunnstrom was (I signed him in early December 2007 after reading an article in The Hockey News) and I was watching Winchester play for Colgate.

Legace is pretty fatigued but I am very tempted to play him anyway. His record is up to 16-18.

Leafs beat Caps 4-1.

5th win in a row for the Leafs, and second in a row by this score.

This was a close game for 2 periods. Shots were close, and the score was 1-1 heading into the 3rd period. But we outshot the Caps 16-4 in the 3rd and score 3 times. One period made a world of difference in this game.

Bad news is, as well as we're playing we play 4 more days in a row, after playing each of the last 2. We do get Selanne back tomorrow after his 5 game suspension. But hopefully we can stay healthy and come out of this busy stretch in decent shape.

Toivonen finally played a full game and played decently at that; this time our offense let us down with a 3-2 loss to the Stars. Erat and Ekman with the goals. Surprisingly, one of the most consistent guys on our team has been Ekman, a guy rated 67. Go figure.

And we injured another player, guess we're on a bit of a mission lately.

Just when I think it's time to move Havlat he comes through with a big game against a tough team. 3 points and 1st star. Maybe he's gonna fit better than it was looking.

Team played great, outshooting the Kings 34-22 and coming away with our second 5-4 win in as many days. Thomas seems to have cooled since taking goaltender of the month honors but still hung on for the win. At least he's playing every game lately and not getting tired after one game at a time.

Don't you actually have to respond to PM's to blow up the team?

Good win by the Blues. Though with so many games in the next little while, it's going to take a toll on us physically. Up next is the lowly Stars. The Blues have to get wins against the bottom feeding teams to try and put some space between them and the Jackets for 8th spot

Big win against a strong team. Missing some major firepower on the right side for this one so it was good to get the win. Emery obviously wants the starters job more then Tosk. So we may give him the ball and see how far he runs with it.

Wow we got the win. But we lost Campoli for 3 weeks, but at least Green is gone for 5 games for doing it.

Close game with the Flames. Juice with three points continues his hot hand. Mike Comrie goes down hard and should be lost for a few games. The team is starting to hurt and no rest as we play our third game in a row tomorrow.
