Yeah, I'm a little surprised myself...

After thinking and mulling the idea over the weekend, I'm actually happy to say that I am stepping away from the CPHL. It's not that I'm not going to miss it. It's not that I'm angry with anything going on. I'm just in a good place with what's going on in my life, and I want to focus on maintaining that, and not have to worry about the game.

If I have to point at anything to do with my decision, it would have to be getting fired from a league that I had put time and money into to get it off the ground, and stressing out about it, and finding myself upset with the decision, like someone was taking something away from me.

In the end, it's just a game. I was tickled pink to know that I would take the reigns of the Edmonton Oilers roster, as it has been traditionally strong since the days of Speeds. I'm happy that I'm making this decision as the team has shown signs of strong play, as it's enjoying a 4 game win streak.

I want to thank Kris and Grant for being patient with me as a GM, as well as all the GMs I've had to deal with, even MJK, during trade talks, and all the help I recieved as a rookie, and even as a forgetful idiot.

I'll be around, but it just feels like time to move on. Believe me, there's a part of me that doesn't want to hit the [Submit New Thread], but I know this is the best decision for me right now in my life.

This is a surprise for sure, your team was just starting to get rolling. But life is certainly more important then a game. Take care man!

Wow, that's totally unexpected! Sorry to see you go man, especially now that you've got a good team and a chance to go far in the playoffs, but I can understand the life being more important aspect so I wish you the best of luck.

It's not a bad thing. It's a great game, I just wasn't focused on it anymore. I'm happy where I am, and the league deserves someone who has the time to be a daily GM, not an every once an a while GM.

I wish I was more attentive, but I just need the time for myself and my family, and not to feel guilty about making lines, or missing lines, or having to PM others to do my lines for me.

I did not get to work much with you but it is still to bad that you are leaving. I know what you are saying though, I dropped out of another league for the same reasons before.

Sorry if my memory isn't the best, but what's the deal with this? Are you talking about the OHL?
