I've heard the Fobkillers have over 400 members and a policy of recruiting 2 more everytime 1 dies. They also have ties to larger gangs out here in BC and I'm sure it goes beyond that too.
The idea of gangs killing each other out does not happen and has never worked in any big city with gang problems. People need to stop talking about that. This isn't 10 vs 10 until only 1 person is left.

GOAT!

Personally, I like the idea I read in the paper a while back...
Basically, it was that we should just classify gangs as "suburban terrorists." This would then expose them to the same practices and procedures used for tracking down and eliminating global terrorists.
(ie: We could phone the US and tell them the Young Dragons are harbouring oil reserves)

So which gang is the more dominant one? FOBs or FOB Killers? Is this the case where the smaller gang of the two wants to be the bigger one? Or are both gangs basically the same size and one gang wants to become the more dominant one?

I'm not sure it has anything to do with size. According to the police, FOB Killers was formed over something completely trivial and minute. Both sides have proclaimed that they won't stop until they're all dead. It's not really up for negotiation as to whether or not they'll stop killing each other.
The scary thing is, is we have other gangs moving in from out of province and even from the States, too.
It's only going to get worse.

Given the names, I'm sure these gangs started with a lot of Asians, but I think it's important to understand the diversity of them now. Their members are far from all Asians, and the term "Asian Gang" doesn't really apply anymore.

Being Asian myself the thing that annoys me is that in some cases the families are fully aware of what's going on and do and say nothing. It's a slap in the face in my opinion to parents like mine that came to Canada in the 60's for a better life and worked there butts off and overcame so much prejudice to try to make a better name for our country and where we came from and it's all being thrown away now buy a bunch of punks who have nothing better to do but shoot each and the parents (who sometimes benefit from this financially in some cases) sit there and don't say anything. Even some gang members after being shot don't say anything to the Cops. Kind of scary, makes you want to stop having kids and take the current family pack up and leave.

I saw the guy trying to steal someones extension cord, I took care of it.
This whole gang violence BS is simply a group of concerned citizens self policing the theft of extension cords. Someone has to stop it, the Police dont care.

There is a really simple solution:
Revoke the driver's license of all Asians.
Sorted.
Drive-by's on your little sister's bicycle really takes something away from being Gangsta.

I've heard the same thing from some South Asian friends of mine. Of course, the vast, vast majority of Vietnamese, Indian etc families are outstanding and dynamic members of the Canadian community and as you said, most of them have worked balls-out hard to make this far.
But there is a culture underlying the Asian immigrant community that especially preys on the first-generations and refugee classes that come here.
Alot of this, in my mind, has to do with community outreach. It should be the patriotic duty of every Canadian family to adopt another new family and help them integrate smoothly into Canadian culture.

Are you crazy!?!?
No one wants "Big Wheel Bandits" or "Norco Ninjas" in the city.

If these guys aren't worried about getting busted for murder, I suspect that they're not too worried about a driving-without-a-license charge.
