The fact that there's no replies to this thread, yet the 24 post and the Dexter post do, is a travesty. You all deserve to be hunted down by Others like the bunch of Dharma scum you are.
Go LOST! My girlfriend and I are huge Losties (as in, Lost Wiki forum members) and just watched every season on DVD during this down period. This season is going to be awesome, just please no polar bears pushing the donkey wheel.
I'm bumping this biatch.

I enjoy the show as well but with the idiotic way television is run these days it's easy to lose interest. How these lamebrains keep a job is beyond me. They actually get dumber and dumber and dumber. Heck why not have shows on every other year(will that be their next move). Seriously how do these bozo's stay employed?

Yeah I had to pick up last season on DVD because of the stupid month long break they had in the middle of the season, which caused me to forget about the show when it finally started again. At least it wasn't as bad as the year before when they stopped for 2 or 3 months.
Wow, I have NO idea how last season ended. Has it been that long? Or am I just going a little crazy. I think they are airing last season's finale on Wednesday.
From the commercial I saw, it looked like it was going to be one of those recap episodes this coming Wednesday. I am glad they are doing that, because with such a long break, I've forgotten many details.

Really? I think this way is better, especially with a serialized show like Lost (which I love) or 24 (also love). This way there are no weird "In 3 weeks on Lost ..." or weird breaks. The season plays out in one long, uninterrupted narrative - though I think with Lost, around episode 7 this year, there will be a one-week break.
Obviously for a show like Two and a Half Men or whichever, having these breaks isn't an issue, but of two bad alternatives ("regular" airing of a show vs. continuous airing) this is the best option.
For anyone interested, it seems that the season finale from last year (looks like all 3 parts) is going to be airing 'enhanced' tomorrow night. I suppose they mean with the little Pop-Up Video boxes at the bottom of the screen? Should be a nice way to get back into Lost after the layoff.

200 on Shaw HD in Calgary. Good thing there's no Oilers games.

The intervals change, then the night changes, then the time and on and on and on ruining many a show and losing them audiences. But I shouldn't complain that much though as it's only the time I have to wait for the next season which really irritates me. I've long since gone to using my computer to tape episodes and then watch them commercial free and often back to back. Probably the best way is to just watch sports live and then catch everything else on DVD where you can watch the whole thing in a weekend.

What do you think it takes to create a season of a show like Lost? The producers are typically editing the finale up until a few hours before it airs. The sets, props, location scenes are all probably the most complex on TV. This isn't Two and a Half Men It takes a long time to create a season. People wanted more epissodes so they released them when they were done. People complained. Then they broke it into 2 parts. People complained. Now they are starting late so they can run the shows back to back and people are complaining.
