I bought it but my computer can't run it worth a crap. It'll play WoW fine, but WAR I get a piss poor framerate even with all the settings at a minimum. I don't even know if I can upgrade my video card or not, because this machine has an NForce integrated chip or something and I have no idea if that restricts me from changing the GEForce 6150 vid card.
So I got a Runepriest to level 3 and gave up because the choppiness was giving me a headache.

K so I bought the game against my better judgment. It's not BAD, it's nothing special yet, but it's not bad. Because I'm familiar with the lore and played Warhammer before gamesworkshop ruined it for everyone I am gonna give it a good run. If I like it at higher levels, I'll renew.

I don't mind the game. It is a lot more player vs player oriented which I am not sure if I am a fan of. The server I am on is a little dead at times so that makes doing the PQs a little hard. The graphics are pretty awesome, and I enjoy the combat. We will have to see how the endgame holds up.

Just bought this game too. Former WoW player. Liked WoW well enough, the game REALLY gripped me from the moment I first stepped into the world. Played it seriously for a year but the grind kinda got to me.
Wasn't floored when I first stepped into Warhammer, it ddin't look anywhere near as good as WoW IMO. I'm playing a Dwarf character which I have just been told is a utility class at best. I seem to have a habit of picking the classes that are the hardest to play.
Game seems buggy. I attack someone at range and they vanish and then all the suddenly they are right in front of me. Laggy in some places.
I dunno, the world just doesn't wow me as much as WoW did. I'll give it a few months but I don't think this game is going to do it for me.

I'm enjoying playing Dwarf Engineer, but i'm only level 5 right now. It takes me a long time to level in any game. I'm interested in seeing what a line of dwarf gun turrets would look like though..seems like it would be effective.

well if you're not a fan of PvP then you'll probably be disappointed in the end game. the main focus after hitting rank 40 is the Tier 4 warzone, where you try and control each zone and push the other side back until finally their capital city is vulnerable and the city siege begins. actually taking over a capital city will be the most difficult thing to do in the game, and as a result the best loot drops will come from there. there are still a smattering of PvE instances for your traditional group quests or raids, but they won't be the focus like in WoW

I need to upgrade my ram to legitimately play this game. Everything else is running fine, but my computer just isn't fast enough.

state of the game
wow, looks like december is going to be an awesome month for WAR. 2 new classes, lots of new content, free server transfers, new RvR rewards, it'll be like a free expansion pack. i really like how straightforward they are too with the "here is what we're going to do" messages, haven't seen that from any other mmo

OK so i got this game for christmas....i play warhammer the game so it was a bit of a joke present from my GF's family but my game doesn't seem to have a CD key. I looked through all the stuff for it and emailed the support team for warhammer and nothing. I don't really want to go ask my girlfriends parents for the receipt and get it exchange. Is there a website that gives free CD keys? I know its probably not legal but I'm not to worried about it. If asking for stuff like this is a no-no then disregard me, or just PM me.

The key should be on the back of your manual. If not, there is often a little card inside with the key. Failing that did your gf's family open the box before giving it to you? If not, take it back to the store.
You won't find any "key-gens" or websites giving out free keys as this is an MMO, all keys are tied to specific accounts and therefore cannot be used by more than one player.

a few peopl (including the people at EA) have told me it should be on the back of the manual....but i cant find it for the life of me. I also cant see them reprinting a special manual for each individual game.

They don't. They only print the individual code section each time.
But I decided to check my copy for you, and in the case of Warhammer Online it's not printed on the manual, instead it is printed on a paper card within your dvd-case. It says PRODUCT REGISTRATION KEY. This piece of paper looks like something you usually throw out with other games, but with WAR you require it to play. Are you sure you didn't toss it by accident?

Yeah I'm pretty sure. I've online games before so I don't think I would have thrown it out, I'm not that dumb......plus I may or may not have gone through the garbage in my room. IM going tommorow to exchange it. I got the receipt and it says if its opened and I return it within 30 days they'll exchange it for the same game. Thanks for your help guys!
