I used to collect jerseys, the ones you could buy at Jersey City, etc. But once I bought my used Yelle stick, I've bought maybe 2 jerseys... I want game used, or atleast autographed anything and everything.
I have since bought game used pants, socks, and skates (there's a mini Hale-Storm everytime I step on the ice) from the Flame's equipment sale, and half a dozen-ish sticks off CM Punk (not sure what he has left).
I would love to be able to afford to get into game used jerseys, but I have to start small for now, and work my way up.
Plus, if it's a specific jersey, say the Tavares jersey you've mentioned, that's well worth the $8500 to me. If you can show people that it's that jersey he wore, that'd be awesome.

Well i have a pair of huselius' game worn gloves i got off a guy from here and i got a game used and autogrpahed stick i got from robyn regehr but thats all ... I want to get into jerseys and helmet but they are freakishly expensive sometimes.... Although i do Meigray's does a sell every year where you can buy previous years jerseys for half price and all of them are game used ( they have a couple game issued) if you want to see more jerseys you might check out gameworn.net

I have a Dustin Boyd gamer from when he played in Omaha in 2006-07. Pretty sweet to have and am looking to get one from his rookie season with the flames eventually. Have a lot of Boyd stuff so far. Just about everyone of his hockey cards, the gamer, a personally signed hat, a game used stick and bought an authetic jersey with his name this season. Can get to be expensive, but it is a nice little hobby.

Back in the day.....
I was fortunate enough to nab a Rocket Richard game used jersey card of which only 5 were made. I sold it rather quickly for $2000. I wonder what that might bring now with so many more people wired to the interwebs.

I have a few game used items. I would never spend $8500 for a gamer..

Too lazy to keep it updated, actually all pics were deleted for some reason and it would have been a tonne of work to reload them all. I sold off a bunch of my helmets (other teams) I have certain jerseys that will never be sold and certain pieces that I will also never move. I might set up a webshots site one day.

I've owned somewhere in the neighborhood of 150-200 game worn jerseys in my time, the collection has since been narrowed down to about 40. Larger companies are killing the hobby.
